I did some Lino cuts at college (many years ago haha) and I’m pretty sure we just used another brayer to add pressure when transferring the print. I love your designs

Thanks! I need to have a proper research and play around with it all at some point!

I hope you don’t mind my saying, traditionally, the paper is placed on top of the lino and rubbed that way. Good luck at the fair and thank you for sharing all that you do! M xx

Thanks ever so much! It's funny - I actually put in the video description that perhaps I ought to try it with the paper on top next time!

I just got curious about linocut, was searching for the Schmincke inks review and found your video, so cool! I was watching only your watercolor and mixed media before.

Haha, that's funny! I'm pretty new to it and don't do it much - need to do more.

I love your tin mine print. It's beautiful. I haven't tried linoprint before - I think it's the fear of gouging my hands or something that has always put me off, that and thinking ok, I have a lot of things I need to buy to start off, but it looks fun. Can't wait to see more of yours!

      Thanks so much!
I think the Essdee starter kit is a pretty good starting place (though now I have a couple of extra tools, ink and a board that clips on the edge of your desk and holds the lino in place).

Although, I've never tried lino cutting, I find it interesting. I hope to try it someday. I think I might get confused as to where I should make cuts. Enjoyed this video. Wishing you a prosperous day at market.

Yes, I find it a bit confusing trying to get the positive and negative spaces organised! I make sure I have a good clear drawing on the lino, and just proceed very cautiously, printing as I go to see if I like it so far.
      And thank you!!

It's far easier to put the paper on top of the lino and then you can Rub the paper gently with your hand
