I've had this system for a year and have had nothing but problems with it. Until this video, the “bodypack scan trick” helped tremendously! Thanks for the informative videos!
Oh, by the way, I wanted to mention that I recently bought a Midi captain duo, (2-button) midi controller (very easy to program). and used your video to help me set up a talkback mute on my XR18 using just my vocal mic and not splitter! The band was very impressed with my tech wizardry.... but I got the idea from you! Thanks again Scott
Great in-depth review as always, Scott. The workaround for the RF scanning is very clever, never thought of that trick, thanks for the tip. More power to your channel and sleep token!
I was so tired but I couldn't call asleep. I'm glad I had a "sleep token" I could use to get some rest. I would really appreciate this gift. I have a band that is trying to get to the next level in equipment. Thank you
Helluva laser show at that sleep token concert! Just like a helluva overview for this system Thanks for the all the tips and tricks with gear. Learnt so much already and always waning to learn more. Cheers Scott! 🤘
Sleep Token. This system would be perfect for me, in 2 worship bands after not jamming/gigging for a few years. Scott, I did buy the CCA-C12 IEM's that you recommended, they're fantastic!
Hey Scott, love your awesome (in Germany we call it "ERKLÄR BÄR") Videos. So Sleep Token would say, that a "Erklär Bär" is a person who explains something with every single detail and much love. Thanks for everything
Love the video explaning the things to keep in mind when using wireless systems. It's crazy how often we discard wireless as just a unite to plug in instead of really considering the impact of radio frequencies that exist in the signal flow. It really is a sleep token for the mind
Thanks to you I used the Anleon S2 for over a year. I loved it and it worked well, with only a few dropouts, but cut out at the last gig around 50 times over 3 sets. So I just upgraded to this one today and I hope it'll be more reliable. Thanks for all the information you provide. it's really helpful.
Scott, your videos are always both instructive and entertaining. I surely will not fall a- sleep token because I don't need drugs to get through your video! Thanks again...
Red Rocks is my dream venue! Not a fan of Sleep Token but I could imagine the live show must have been incredible. These in ears would be a great upgrade to my live setup!
Great vid Scott! I’ve always enjoyed your stuff, especially your backing track content. It helped me out immensely on a recent tour with a band I play in. It was pretty stressful though. So much so that I had to negotiate an amendment to my employment contract when I got back mandating a required nap time. Every week I’d get two hours to myself without having to do any work and still get paid. The only catch was, I had to use it to catch up on some much needed sleep, nothing else. So every Wednesday since then I notify my boss that I was logging off and going to nap for a couple hours. I’d log my time in my timesheet with a special project code, a “sleep token” if you will, and go to sleep. Then I’d wake up and start the cycle all over again. It’s helped immensely, but not as much as your backing track vids helped me succeed on this tour!
Thank you Scott for the informative vids! There are so many of us that are just modest weekend musicians, and certainly on a budget while we work and raise families, etc. Your videos really help all of us chose the gear we be need to make our music more enjoyable for all! Very well spoken, which rhymes with Sleep Token!! Lol
I'll definitely check this out whenever I upgrade my IEM's. My IEMs are from 2008. Sleep Token is what I think of whenever certain cultures use coins over the eyes when someone dies.
Thanks for the epic review Scott! I'm definitely interested in this system, almost as I much as I was interested in Sleep Token when they first started out!
That IEM system looks very nice! I remember once when I was playing that the audio guy asked me what frequencies my IEM used, maybe because it could have conflicted with the antennas on stage for the mixer. I've seen those in quite a bit of concerts. That time I had those very cheap transmitters in the 2.4GHz range so no issues for him, but I'm curious and on the fence about these other IEM systems, as mine compress quite a bit and sometimes distorts. You also made me curious about Sleep Token, never heard of them lol
As always... awesome, informative and easy to follow video, so thank you Scott. Now if only i had that Sleep Token to sync my sleep patterns with yours.
I just bought this model of monitor. It is replacing the entry-level model of Shure IEM. They worked perfectly for a dozen years. The Sennheiser model is much more complicated than the Shure ever was. I'm having problems with the noise in the background and finding a good frequency. When and if I ever find a good Frequency will the background noise go away? I've watched your vid several times and noted a Squelch control is on the higher-end monitors. This was never a problem with the Shure's. Thanks for taking the time to consider this.
If you don’t have a good frequency, it doesn’t matter which system you use. The PSM 300 are definitely an easier system to use, but this shouldn’t be too complicated. Likely you just don’t have a clear frequency is my best guess
Sleep Token is great band name. I can’t believe I hadn’t thought of the RF scan trick with the receiver. Great tip. BTW, I suggested “Random Dads” as a name for my latest band but the algorithm gods wouldn’t have it.
Amazing review! Just bought Senheiser Xsw2 for my guitar and it was the best decision I’ve made for a reliable wireless. Really like your content, and huge thanks from a Brazilian follower/subscriber. Now excuse me, brb, I’m gonna comment on a SLEEP TOKEN post saying “COME TO BRAZIL”.
Sleep Token... need to check that out... and I think anyone that gets to play Red Rocks is worth a listen! Meanwhile, I'm super grateful for this video... I think this will work for me for a while ... as I've taken to setting up my guit wireless AND my in-ear box, in front of my pedal boards... unless the band or venue has their own good rack IEMs. I've been using a super cheap one for years that has been reliable... but flying it around is making me nervous. Thanks man...
Thank you for the review, Scott, very helpful (as always). I’m planning to go wireless soon, so videos like this are much appreciated. Never heard of Sleep Token, but I’ll check it out!
G4 is better if you can afford it…. And they have the SR2050 if you can go above the G4 as well. Just depends on your needs, not every band needs the best of the best
Hi Scott, thanks for the great video! I also got me the xsw iem some time ago and am really very satisfied so far. and thanks for the music tip. I didn't know "sleep token" yet.
Scott, you provide a lot of great information in your videos. I think I've seen them all. Looking to get into an entry level in ear monitor system. Will have to save a "Sleep Token" or two to get one. Keep up the good work!
Clever method of getting around the lack of a scanner. Also I really appreciate the sleep token suggestion, I've never heard of them before but upon hearing that "Take me back to Eden" is your favourite of the last 20 years? Can't get a much better recommendation than that. Thanks for sharing!
Been in the process of finishing my iem rack and just 2 recievers short sennheiser is always a good option for sure. Sleep token is such a good band and I hope to see them soon!
I've learned a lot about gears since subscribing to your channel. Thanks! Recently I've noticed that I've been watching your videos as soon as you publish them. Oh, here's some sleep token. For all your efforts and hard work.
Hey Scott, another great video as always. If I were to win this Sennheiser IEM system, that would be amazing as I've always wanted to play like Sleep Token🤩
I bought this system as i couldn't strecth to the EW system and its been great. and yes the Sync feature isn't great. SLEEP TOKEN. Loving the videos Scott !! Thank you, my go to for Music Tech reviews
