Just started watching Jookin videos today and I first came across the first gentleman, Dra em, and he is sick. However after watching this, that guy D Ocean has a tad bit more fluidity coupled with musicality. Love this take on a classic Hip Hop dance move, floating.

But, I must say that the footwork nowadays focuses waaay too much on ankle breaking. A lot of slowing down to just pull off a ballet pirouette and not staying on beat, not keeping that energy up. Some jookers know how to incorporate it in their routine with moderation, but a lot of them just doing it to do it.

Draem a straight prodigy but I feel like he struggles in battles with super experienced jookers because the older jookers toes and ankles might not be as developed as Draem's but the rest of their body control and dynamics makes their overall performance stronger. Like when Phyouture beat Draem for the trip to Paris.

hmm i think because they similarity in the style of ankle breaking just period as it is .. if your battling someone who has a similar style usage..not actual style but usage.. add more gangsta walk and foot patterns and toe notes,swivels,foot plants,turtle neck,head turns along with a smaller amount of ankle breaking style. Because if not the crowd...well it looks the same no matter how different the moves that are done .. ultimately it will look the same to the crowd when it comes to majority rule. I would like to see a rematch. Both always have been dope,amazing. I think if docean would have done that it would have been over.. or a tie at the least..

This honestly should've been 2 rounds. But since it was only one I'd give it to D Ocean. Dra'em bumped but he wasn't able to hold his toe stalls long enough to get the crowd hype. He had to put his other foot down or transition into a new move. He didn't really end well either, kinda just looked like he wasn't feeling the song anymore. Still a very good round but against D ocean you gotta come harder than that.
The crowd hoed D ocean. His first half had me jumping outta my seat. He did a good job of including the toes and ankle breaks without losing the energy of the song. The lack of crowd hype definitely hurt him at the end, but I think he ended stronger than Dra'em. Overall this was a good battle but this gotta be 2 rounds minimum if there's a rematch
Nah dra’em can definitely hold his toe stalls. His whole ig page shows that. In this video, he was showing great musicality and stopped his spin at the right times so it was not because he didn’t have balance, it’s about timing and technique and he has that and more.
