For having more money there are two components: earn more and spend less. This is a nice way to spend less. Not only that, but also a way for having a real big and robust canister. I haven't seen something with this capacity and robustness in the bike market. Nice job man!
Awesome! I'm gonna do the same and I was thinking about all these crazy ways to drill the extinguisher in order to install a valve to ill it with air. I didn't know you could fill it from the same hose itself!
I already have an empty fire extinguisher! This will save me £50 thank you. How have you attached the tube to the extinguisher hose tho? And where can I get a bit of that tube you’ve used??
The tube fits into the extinguisher hose. So I've shoved it 5cm in or so and then fixed it with a hose clamp. Not sure where I bought the tube, I'd say in local DIY shop. Or a google search on "air tube 10mm" Good luck and show us the result!
Could you show us or explain how you could inflate the tank through the same hole you blast the tire with? how can one do that? plus, you didn't tell us, my much psi is safe to put in the tank and what's the volume of your tank.
How did you connect the blackhose coming from the extinguisher with the other transparent hose? I think you cut the end of the blackhose and used a nutstrap right? Plus, did you have to take the rod inside the extinguisher out or something? or you just modified the hose, added a presto valve and you didn't't have to take anything apart?

The simplicity is sheer genius!!!
Thanks, good luck inflating your tubeless tires :)

Easy it is :)
Great idea.
nice compressor ;):)
Well done Sir. Thanks for share.
Thanks!
how did you take out completely the powder mixture inside the extinguisher?
It was empty when I got it :)

The other questions I don't know, I suppose under 10 bar is safe.

Usually this cans works at 15-20 bars and are certified tested at twice as that.
Is that a fridge compressor?
That's right :)
honestly, if dudes can spend $2000+ on a mountain bike, I think most can spend 75.00 on a real air compressor, really!?
Because spend all the save money and got a loan to buy the bike.
But it is fun to make your own tools!
