Shore diving at Porthkerris, Cornwall 6-7th July 2021 Max depth 14m, Flat calm, 13 degrees, 3-5m vis, 65 & 82 minute dives. 1. 12l 230-50 bar. £15 to camp (inc parking & diving), £3 to park, £5 to dive. Tank fills onsite £5. No-take zone. Very easy entry right next to parking. Wrasse city - large ballans, lots of rock cook, M&F cuckoos, corkwing, tompot blennies, pollack, spider crabs, Urchins, soft corals, anemones, starfish, lots of kelp, huge rocks and large reefs, swim-throughs etc. Bloody cold especially without hood. 2. 220-30 bar. Awesome morning dive. Great kip on beach, nice and quiet. Cold. Explored properly all over. Conger, pipefish, spiny lobster (crawfish) montague blenny, black face blenny, leopard goby, cuttlefish, red mullet, cuckoo, ballan, corkwing, rock cook, pollack, nudibranch, cuttlefish, spider crab. Fantastic dive.
Thanks. The conditions here in Norfolk are absolutely rubbish. I've yet to dive locally and we are over halfway through our short dive season. More northerlies this week so totally blown out for vis.
