Thank you Justin for that heart-warming reflection - it brought me to tears when you said "Through all the ups and down, He will be there to meet you, at the finish line." It's been an especially hard few days, I learned today that a friend was diagnosed with lung cancer and yesterday my niece lost 3 young friends in a tragic car accident. Last night at Mass I offered up all of my prayers to those young people and through my tears, I asked for a sign they were at peace ( even though I know we're not supposed to ask for signs,) I just needed some bit of hope to share with my 15 yo niece to let her know they were safe in the arms of Jesus. And at that moment a mourning dove alighted on the outside of a beautiful stain glass window with a floor to ceiling Cross. Her silhouette mesmerizing the congregation as she stayed basking in the setting suns rays. It was absolutely beautiful and it was definitely a prayer answered by God. I felt a wave of peace and comfort fill my soul, I know those tender souls are resting in peace. I pray for their families and loved ones who are broken and inconsolable by this immeasurable loss, may God hold them in His arms, I know Jesus weeps with them. 😥💔
Oh Justin. Thank you for a wonderful reflection. I have an unemployed daughter recently turned 50. She is my treacherous road. She has been living with me for seven years now. She is emotionally and financially draining. 😊😊
