  • As promised here is a video where you can warm-up with me.
My warm-up usually lasts about 20 minutes with the first 10 minutes consisting of the exercises I play through here, and the last 10 minutes consisting of any variety of rudimental solos.
When I warm-up I use 3 different pairs of sticks:
Very Heavy for the first few minutes (here I am using 88-gram reverse tip Purpleheart sticks).
Medium Heavy for the next 5 minutes (here I am using 80-gram Cocobolo barrel tip sticks).
Concert Weight for the last exercises (here I am using 68-gram pair of barrel tip Zebrawood sticks).
I make these sticks so if you are interested in purchasing a pair contact me at rickdior@gmail.com

    Fantastic Rick! Thank you!
I’m loving the Drumset book I bought from you a few weeks ago and diligently working on the hand technique material from our lesson last year!

Hi Rick, great video as always. Having some trouble reading the rhythmic pattern page 48. Is there a video where you have explained the stickings?
