I was once an Atheist. Then at 35 when I thought I had nothing left, not even hope, I saw Jesus. My life made a 180 degree after that. That was the first time I encountered Jesus. There was a second time as I was driving back home. If you are wondering if I was on drugs or smoking something - I don't indulge in either. Faith alone can carry a person through many hardships that people without faith may find unbearable. I have genuine joy in my heart and peace of mind that I did not experience before knowing Christ. I don't have to pray for you to accept Christ. There will come a time, like me, you too will eventually embrace him with open arms. I do agree with you that Faith alone is not the path to my salvation. If I see someone I can help, I must and I do. It is my duty to do so because Christ has taught me through his actions to be humble, loving, and kind.
