Where did ya get that hat that fit over your helmet? Did you make it yourself? Great idea. Nice ride. Thanks.

Thanks for watching and checking out my channel. It is called Da Brim. I wear the sporty version. Keeps most of the sun (and rain) off my face and neck.

Thanks for posting. I’m planning a driftless area cycling holiday for next year, but these WI rail trails look interesting, too. Would try to avoid paved trails. Is there a good (electronic) map of all WI rail trails and the surface material? Hoping to take Amtrak from CT to Chicago an then take as many rail trails as possible to Lacrosse where my driftless adventure will start.

Thanks for watching. The Driftless trip sound like a challenging, but beautiful ride. Amtrak does go to downtown Milwaukee from Chicago. From Milwaukee, you can ride the 225 miles or so to LaCrosse on around 185 mile of Rail Trails and (bike paths in Milwaukee and Madison area). I have ridden every trail on that route, and done multi-day trips along the route. The only tricky part is around 40 miles of road riding from Madison to Reedsburg. I do not know of an electronic version of the trails, but the Wisconsin DNR Site has maps and information on all of the trails. The trails you would be interested in would be: Glacial Drumlin Trail from Milwaukee area to Madison Area, 400 Trail, Elroy-Sparta Trail, and LaCrosse River Trail. The last three trails are connecting trails to get you from Reedsburg to LaCrosse. You could continue along the Great River Trail to Winona, MN as well. If you need any help with your planning I would be glad to help. Email: lammersbw@gmail.com Another RUclips site to check out is Paul Suchecki. He lives in Illinois and has several videos about some rides in Wisconsin. Also check out my Elroy-Sparta Tunnelpalooza Video for an overview of the Elroy-Sparta Trail. I live in the Madison Area so let me know when you are riding through and maybe I can ride along for a bit.

@@lammetrackproductions3962 thank you for the generous reply. I’ll dive into those references and send you an email after I’ve done a bit more research. Also, I just saw a RUclips video about gravel cycling routes around Galena, IL. I’m thinking of including it as another home base to ride loops from in the driftless. If I can find a third base in NE IA, that might be perfect. Anyway, thanks again, and look out for an email from me.
