Because of this you'd arguably be more protected against newer variants such as the Omicron variant, which has 32 mutations in the spike protein, which the vaccine specifically targets meaning the efficacy of the vaccines will likely wane but could still help fight off severe infection. Whereas recovered individuals also have antibodies for other proteins on the virus, which may remain mostly unchanged. But they're still not recognising antibodies here. Even after the six months post recovery if your antibody levels were low (Big IF as they'll probably stay at a stable level for some time) your b and t cells should reproduce new antibodies within 2-3 days upon reinfection and your infection will likely be mild. But, as your antibody levels remain stable for months if not years there's a good chance that you may not even notice you've been reinfected, or be mildly ill. As someone who was infected outside of this six month threshold, before vaccines were available for my age cohort I don't see the benefit of flooding my blood with antibodies effective against the spike protein of an old strain. If they were to alter the genomic sequence of the vaccine to be effective against the most virulent strain (which they should have done with Delta) I'd consider it. But currently the risk, albeit statistically low isn't worth it. But don't purposefully expose yourself obviously. It just really sucks for the recovered right now.

People should have that choice, it should be entirely up to them, whether you recommend it or not. The Vxs are only for personal protection now because it is known that they don't stop infection and transmission. My personal choice will therefore not affect anyone else. This is the reason that Vx mandates are abhorrent. We are all going to catch this virus at some time in the future and how we protect ourselves is an individual choice. The Vxs may be the choice of some, but one size does not fit all and luckily it doesn't need to be because choices abound.

The Canadian government hasn't uttered a peep about vitamins, healthy lifestyles, etc. They want us to wear masks more often and the unvaccinated are to curtail travel only when essential. Wearing a mask is a effective way to lower the possibility of spreading the virus by the wearer. As this is not a permanent requirement we can put up with it a bit longer until we get this under control. We are not there yet but we can help speed it up by not being selfish. I live in the UK and why should I have to disclose my medical records [vaccinated or not] to someone at the gate of the music hall? Why should I have to disclose my medical records to anyone except to my own GP and medical consultants? If I asked you to show me proof of any sexual diseases you had or whether you'd had a HIV test or vaccine you could rightly tell me to mind my own business. But with a COVID vaccine - it all goes out of the window. I won't be going to the music hall, and also refuse to disclose my medical records to anyone apart from my own doctor.
For an obsure reason this is done on purpose all over the world. I had Covid in March 2020 and after 10 days of isolation I have been working in an environment with highest risk of exposure to it since then In October 2021 I was notified I was in contact with someone who became positive the next day but I was negative on antigen test. I usually get common colds but haven't had one since then. I am taking a small dose of vit D3 but not the vax. I am convinced I have persistent cellular immunity similar to SARS Cov1 and that can last up to 17 years, but that is not mentioned at all by the " new" medicine

My wife almost died and our son was born prematurely because she came down with covid pneumonia in May of this year. Everyone is ok now, thankfully. I can only remain hopeful that the US will eventually get with the program and recognize immunity in all its various forms, but I become discouraged at the religious fervor connected to the vax.

It's becoming so transparent in the UK, I think, that the government are working in the interests of the pharmaceutical industry, not public health... Otherwise, they would tell us about the benefits of Vit D and other health measures. So desperately disappointing.

Wearing a mask is a effective way to lower the possibility of spreading the virus by the wearer. As this is not a permanent requirement we can put up with it a bit longer until we get this under control. We are not there yet but we can help speed it up by not being selfish. I welcome recognition of immunity but not the use of passports to enter a venue so I partly agree with you.

@@Woodwork-Learner that sounds reasonable however although masks are effective on an individual level when worn diligently, on a population level, mask mandates aren't making an obvious difference.
This is because most people dont ware them correctly, don't dispose of them or wash them at appropriate intervals and constantly touch them without washing their hands afterwards.
When you say that it is not permanent, do you mean that you can take a mask off vs a vacine which is irreversable? Or that the mask mandates are not permanent?
I live in Queensland Australia. We have had mask mandates for the better part of 18 months.
Over 5 milliin covid tests have only discovered 536 cases of covid aquired here. 76% of the population have recieved 2 inoculation shots.
It is starting to feel as though these mandates are going to be permanent. Or at least an intermitant feature for several more years.

I live in the UK and why should I have to disclose my medical records [vaccinated or not] to someone at the gate of the music hall? Why should I have to disclose my medical records to anyone except to my own GP and medical consultants? If I asked you to show me proof of any sexual diseases you had or whether you'd had a HIV test or vaccine you could rightly tell me to mind my own business. But with a COVID vaccine - it all goes out of the window. I won't be going to the music hall, and also refuse to disclose my medical records to anyone apart from my own doctor.

I had Covid in March 2020 and after 10 days of isolation I have been working in an environment with highest risk of exposure to it since then
In October 2021 I was notified I was in contact with someone who became positive the next day but I was negative on antigen test.
I usually get common colds but haven't had one since then. I am taking a small dose of vit D3 but not the vax.
I am convinced I have persistent cellular immunity similar to SARS Cov1 and that can last up to 17 years, but that is not mentioned at all by the " new" medicine
@@virginicaanderson1569 glad to hear that you haven't dealt with a reinfection or anything of that nature. My wife almost died and our son was born prematurely because she came down with covid pneumonia in May of this year. Everyone is ok now, thankfully.
I can only remain hopeful that the US will eventually get with the program and recognize immunity in all its various forms, but I become discouraged at the religious fervor connected to the vax.

I am also glad that you mentioned you are not necessarily supporting requiring ANY proof of immunity-natural or otherwise-because imho, there should be NO requirements. I don’t agree there should be any sort of restrictions getting in to different venues but accepting natural immunity is at least a step in a more scientific direction. The breathalyser test would be great - concentrating on only those that are actually infected who could be sent home, asked to isolate for 14 days build up their natural immunity and bibbidy bobbidy boo!

Would love to see your speech to the medical / political leaders, you have always presented a rational and pragmatic approach to the youtube topics you have presented. Yes if it was about immunity, then previous infections would be considered. but unfortunately its not about immunity. its become about power, control and profit now. keep up the good work! Here in Australia, government it working hard to mandate vax for many jobs and in QLD alone over 8000 nurses have now been stood down.

Acknowledging Covid Antibodies does not put any money into the pockets of Pharma or Politicians. Further, it is too logical and makes too much sense, that disqualifies it right there. Herd Immunity works, not Heard Immunity (listening to the talking heads).
