  • Today’s adventure is with the inland Jeepfreeks from the 247 in Johnson Valley, through Rattlesnake Canyon, And ending with a beautiful scenic drive through the Joshua trees right before Pioneertown.
The first 18 minutes of the video is a combination of drone footage and Timelapse videos showing the entire trail from the starting point off the 247 all the way to the Joshua trees. The remaining portion of the video has not been sped up, so you can view the beauty of the Joshua trees in real time.
This is a easy to moderate trail and great for beginners. The trail is great because it has a little bit of everything. It starts out on hard packed dirt before hitting a little bit of rocks that lead into the wash. Depending on the time of year, There may be a water crossing in the wash so plan accordingly. After driving through the wash, you will come upon some small rock piles before finishing up the drive into the higher elevation where the Joshua trees are. Although high clearance is recommended, stock jeeps will be able to do this trail with no issue. Just take your time through the rocks.
