How to Draw Different Views

In this video we’ll be drawing a pawn from different angles, a great drawing exercise to imorove your sense of space and understanding of how the lines, angles and shapes change as an object rotates. Just take any everyday small object and draw it from different viewpoints. For this pawn example, notice how the straight lines seen in side view slowly change to curved lines (representative of ellipses), all the way to complete circles in the top view. Try this and you’ll greatly improve your fdrawing skills and also improve your ability to draw from imagination, Thanks for watching!
