The pact system is the core of the P2W in this game, if you look closer you can see that each level of the pet grants a massive boost in the stats. BUT, it is still single player loot game, so even someone spend massively on some pet, the only real benefit is that they can kill boss easier or get more loot out of it.

In a single player game, I don't care about such things as more loot or beating bosses easier. I'll just have to try harder and it seems like a looter so I'm sure there's enough loot to go around, easily. To be P2W in a single player game is like being in competition with your self. And than at that point it's like why? It's just a game anyways. So what if you get hard stuck on a boss and you actually have to get good to win. Dark souls, sekiro, in those you just keep getting your ass kicked until you win. You don't buy stuff to make things easier lol. Look at tenkei's latest video, he had the option to spend on boons and get the best pets you can get, he would have got ROUGHLY a 1mill to 1.3mill change, instead, he decided to just play, get some flame elementium and buy legendaries, and he his 99mill on the dummy in town in 3 seconds....WITH SHITTY LITTLE TIER 1 PETS lol.

basically the video showing end-game dungeon which a standard online game end-game content. if anyone ask is there a main story on the game, yes there is one at the beginning, also a standard online game content just without daily quests etc. P2W? nah, its P2EA, pay to easy advance, again, like most of online game already out there
@@Priminark every season is a 3 month old so when you finish the season you have two options you can still play the charchter or play in the new season with new content ( the new content might add to the non seasonal server eventually )
@@Priminark it's exactly like Path of Exile. The game has "Seasons" which lasts 3 months. Every season there's a gimmick and added feature to the base game. Current season, everytime you kill enemies, a bar on the bottom of the screen gets filled and eventually you can summon otherwordly monsters for better loot, and sometimes you get free corruption option for your weapon. Next season it'll be different. After 3 months, your progress is saved and character gets moved to permanent server. The added gimmick and feature _may_ also be added to the permanent server. You start over with a new character in the next season. Rinse and repeat.
It's still P2W even if single-player or Multi-player, sadly this is how most do it as they make it seem ok in the early and mid game where you don't have to pay for anything (if you don't want to but can if you want some extras) and the game is alright, and then the reviews are positive about the game and then when people get to end game where you have to pay for stuff (which pets give power, and the devs stated that nothing would give power and you had to hard grind for it).

I wish ARPG's would just move away from these spammy fast room clears and have actual challenging content/end game, that's one thing Lost Ark did well with raids and the PVP options
i mean, most arpgs have challenging endgames, its just that the point of traditional arpgs is character building/ theory crafting and you usually have enough tools to trivialize any content. Lost ark feels very limited for theory crafting. This however allows them to produce more challenging content for everybody as everybody is more or less on the same power level. F. i.PoE on the other hand gives you a lot of possibilities in theory crafting. However that means that the players always will have the tools to trivialize endgame unless it is made to be impossible. The Uber bosses ARE challenging if your build does not trivialize them.
Just because you don’t feel it’s pay to win doesn’t mean there aren’t pay to win aspects. The fact that there’s a difference is a big deal. You even call the market the pay to win market. So it is!

You can get auto loot for free by playing the game .. it resets every 3 months with the change of the season or you can pay 15.00 every 3 months to get the advanced version which you don’t really need People freaking out for no reason As far as micro transactions this game is 1000x better than undecember.. not saying I agree with what they doing but it’s not as bad as other games

There's no real end goal in this game i find it boring, thanks for the very informative review. It really wasn't as p2w as everyone says, but i think its boring. no pvp elements. I'd rather play Albion online then , for real it is the ONLY good rpg in the market so far with full customization of character skills and cosmetics, and with pvp.

You are just defending what cant be defended. Im glad you are level 80 but you lose A LOT of stats if you dont have legendary pets and you can only get them playing or grinding for 30 years

The gameplay is literally a carbon copy of Path of Exile. It's the EXACT same. I tell ya, these Chinese companies, man. Why'd they have to make it so convoluted. Just work together with PoE or name it similar. But nah, straight up jack PoE gameplay and use Torchlight's branding. Smh. I suppose we should be grateful it isn't P2W. _YET_

So if you play on PC you can just assign a button to pick up loot and spam it until you get auto loot. It really isn't too big of a deal :)
You can get a legendary pet in the beginner banner after three 10x rolls, the rest will take you a while.
Sounds exactly like Tower of Fantasy, and it's still p2w garbage.

It actually does though since there is no way to win since there is no leaderboards or multiplayer there is no way to "win" so a game cant be p2w
