Dope as always Soren. Salute. Respect to all hip hops foundation and all the pioneers that paved the way. Especially those featured in Wild Style including those that never made it in the film. May they never be forgotten. 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥👊💯🇬🇧

Charlie A. GREAT 👍 JOB. I WAS 13 years old in 1983 when I went to see the your 🎞 🍿 🎥 movie on 47th street Broadway. I was in highschool and what’s cRaZy is that . . I was the first one in the lunchroom bragging about how fresh, fly and great the movie was. Also my brother and I saw F5Freddy right after the movie 🍿 🎞 🎥 in the train station and was 4ever so kind and humble, He gave us a copy of the soundtrack album. Now ten years later from 1983 to 1993 I’m at the Jacob Javis Center on 11th ave @ The Car 🚘 Show and he’s like yucky, arrogant and unapproachable. I thought it was similar to the cop 👮♀️from Boyz in the hood when the character TREY was 10 yr old and the cop 👮♀️ was saying hey lil man and Laurence fishburne say go in the house 🏡 then he saw the same cop as young man and that same cop 👮♀️ put the gun to his neck after getting pulled over. All I wanted to do was tell F5Freddy that it was me 10 years ago. Lol.
@Jeff Hagenaars lol my comment was actually being sarcastic but I agree 100% with you this stuff now is nothing at all hip hop coming from a person whos favorite rappers MF Doom and Kool Keith
I met Charlie Ahern at a Zulu anniversary function years ago. I was happy to meet him, but he was so annoying. Not because of his voice, or his non-stop talking. I was fine with that. He tends to have an air of knowing everything, almost as if he was one of the artists that he was documenting. Hey I give credit where credit is due, but that attitude got under my skin a little bit. But you have to listen to him!😄
My favorite scene of Wild Style. The soul and culture of original hip-hop could be felt.
Salute to this man for documenting early Hip Hop.
One of best pieces of film in Hiphop history
Wow, great interview! Charlie is fascinating to listen to. I could watch hours of this.
