THIS GAVE ME NOSTALGIA
I grew up with this as a little kid and its so nostalgic
Me too when i was 6 and now i am 13
Same
same bruh 😭😭
We started off calling large stars giants. Then they discovered larger stars and called the super giants. Then they discovered larger stars and called them hyper giants. Right on cue, they discovered larger stars and called them meta giants. So what's next? Super duper extra large mega huge star?
XD
The next logical step is "way over 9000"-giant. Then everybody will get just how big it is.
Intraframe What about an ultragiant?
Intraframe ITS OVER 9000!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Uber giant, i think
This is one of my childhood favorite size comparisons
Km=Kilometer
Mgm=Megameter
Gm=Gigameter
Au=Astronomical Unit (aka Earth Orbit Size)
Hope this helps
AU is earth to sun, not the whole orbit zone. But I think you meant Earth to sun
Ceres: 600 km
Pluto: 1,000 km
Eris: 1,250 km
Mercury: 2,000 km
Mars: 2,630 km
Venus: 4,500 km
Earth: 5,500 km
Neptune: 50,000 km
Uranus: 55,000 km
Saturn: 125,000 km
Jupiter: 140,000 km
Sun: 1,200,000 km
Sirius A: 2,200,000 km
Pollux: 4,400,000 km
Arcturus: 9,000,000 km
Aldebaran: 10,000,000 km
Rigel: 30,000,000 km
Deneb: 358,800,000 km
Pistol star: 598,000,000 km
Antares: 1,794,000,000 km
Betelgeuse: 1,853,800,000 km
Mu cephei: 3,139,500,000 km
VV Cephei A: 3,946,800,000 km
VY Canis Majoris: 4,873,700,000 km
Shadron Soul: 9,119,500,000 km
VY Masses Majoris: 18,687,500,000 km
i remember seeing this and many other similar ones years ago, when i was young and borrowed my moms laptop, oh the memories.
and now i finally found it again!
I think this is great but due to the constant motion of the planets and starts going off screen (IE when the shrink) it distorts the sizes and makes things look more different in size then they actually are. Otherwise it was very soothing and fun! :)
Song name? Great video by the way! Really enjoyed listening to the music and peaking at the video and being amazed by these sizes while doing homework! :D
am I the only one who almost fell asleep with this?
Just to clarify for those of you who don't know, MGM is megameter.
Oh thanks
+Lucy Dvorsky 👍
So wouldn't Earth's diameter be 12.7 Mm?
+askadetra One thousand. A kilometer is one thousand meters and a megameter is one million meters.
+Cosmicom Cosmicom They mean the same thing, it's to simplify. 1000 meters is a kilometer, 1,000,000 meters is a megameter, 1,000,000,000 meters is a gigameter, 1 trillion meters is a terameter (I simplified it to AU, astronomical units since a terameter is over five times Earth’s distance from the Sun), 1 quadrillion meters is a petameter (our solar system is about 12 petameters in diameter), 1 quintillion meters is an exameter, 1 sextillion meters is a zettameter (our galaxy is about a tenth of a zettameter in diameter), 1 septillion meters is a yottameter, and 1 octillion meters is a brontometer (the size of the observable universe is about two brontometers).
Omg The Hypergiant Part of the Music is so so amazing! and entence!

1GM=100000000000000km
Mistakes and corrections:
*Sirius A is white, not blue.
*Red giants, like Arcturus, Antares, Betelgeuse, and Mu Cephei are like gigantic red dwarfs.
*Deneb and Pistol Star’s colors are swapped.
*Pistol Star should be a hypergiant.
*Betelgeuse is red in color.
*Shadron Soul and VY Masses Majoris don’t exist.
*VV Cephei A uses the picture of the Sun, while VY Canis Majoris uses the picture of Aldebaran.
*UY Scuti is missing before 2013.
*The correct unit for planetary size is megameters (Mm), not milligigameters (mGm)
Boi i discovered VY Masses
The last two stars though. WHAT THE BLEEPS A METAGIANT?! SHADRON SOUL? SCI-FY? MASSES MAJORIS? WHAT?!
Read the description
ugh i found VY Masses
Somewhere in the universe... There can be a star so massive that canis majoris is just a little dot
yep
that's true
+Skorpion gAmer There is an upper limit for how big a star can be, if there was no limit we would see stars as big as galaxies, but because of how the universe works such stars can't form, clumps of matter would rather form clusters than one gigantic star.
+Skorpion gAmer Wrong. A star much larger than the most massive ones we have star are unstable and *immediately* blow themselves apart. Even at 100 solar masses the star will periodically flare up and blow off one or two solar masses until it finally settles down. Even then it will become a hypernova in a mere few million years. A star can be millions of times larger than the sun in volume, but a stable star won't exceed the sun by much more than 100 times in its mass. Stars like Betelguese are in fact so tenuous (that is, lacking density) in most of their visible volume that they are essentially red-hot vacuums.
The name is UY Scuti. It is on the scattum constelation
Yes. VY Canis Majoris was the biggest KNOWN star for a while, but now Westerlund 1-26 is. And about the video, I don't know if the last two planets even exist. I haven't heard or read of them anywhere except for here.
this comparison is way to slow and its so off with the size... -_- just look at 3:50 wtf? Jupiter is 20 times smaller than that compared to the sun...
That is where i paused this video to read the comments. They had the Earth much bigger than Venus. I let that slid. Uranus much bigger than Neptune and Jupiter looks way to big compared to the son. Anyway whatevers because how do we know?! Did we use a tap measure? This reminds me of the text on your car mirror. Objects seen in the mirror may be closer than they appear. We look at this stuff throw reflections in a giant mirror. That tells us NOTHING about how big they actually are!
Dylan Croy I made an edited series with no size inaccuracies. I recommend you watch it.
it’s actually about 10 times smaller
Mercury is 4.88 megameters
seriously!!!! .. after watching that, I think we are in simple terms, just part of an atom structure within the universe, from a size point of view, nothing more.... it never stops amazing me. To measure star's and planets in AU terms, wow.
The largest confirmed star is NML Cygni with a radius of 2,295,000,000 kilometers (1,426,046,881 miles) UY Scuti is larger, but the size hasnt been accurately measured, estimates put its radius at 2,375,828,000 kilometers (1,476,271,071 miles) though it could be as much as 175,000,000 kilometers smaller. The old record holder VY Canis Majoris is 1,975,000,000 kilometers or 1,227,208,100 miles. There is no such thing as a purple hyper-giant and there is not a star named Shadron Soul or VY Masses Majoris!
VY Canis Majoris
Stephenson 2-18
Stephenson 2-18: Hey, I do exist
DFK-1 (RSGC 218 moment)
This music is so relaxing... :)
Yea
Shadron Soul looks like the hottest star WR-102, but *way* too big
Pistol Star is a blue hypergiant, Betelguese is a red supergiant(no such thing as a brown supergiant), VV Cephei A is just a giant red supergiant(lots of people make that mistake), and the biggest is UY Scuti(1,708x bigger than the sun, VY Canis Majoris is 1,420x bigger).
I watched this all the time when I was 4
Oh the memories...
Omg same i frikin loved this video when i was young!
Me too!
But I was 5-6.
I was 5
I still like it
I was 4

THIS VIDEO IS SO SLOOOWWWW

For those complaining that the video isn't to scale, well no shit it's not to scale. They get smaller as they move towards the left of the screen. It's a comparison in numbers only.
Subhanallah Allahuakbar how massive is God's power and where are we
Well people believe god is interested in the behavior of an ape like parasite on the surface of one tiny planet and degrade him to a workman for mankind to create especially a heaven and a hell for this tiny unimportant mankind insect population here in their megalomania.
And then they also talk about prophets which claim to knew god's word - but strangely those words are all menfocussed about salvation for men made by men.
sorry i was born to obey words from God and his messenger prophet Muhammad peace be upon him
Arin Muhammad
You mean manmade words to degrade god to a position that he is forced to be in use for humans to have paradies and hell. Pitty human.
i pray for your best in your life and religion.my God never teach me hatred.may God bless you.

Ok guys listen. We all know that the last two stars don't EXIST. So STOP complaining about it in the comments! And do NOT comment that you dislike the video like chainblade. Look up the last two stars if you can
Don't worry, Phobos. 2 of my moons are even smaller. (Actually one of them is smaller than Deimos.)
I watched this video in my childhood back in 2015.
at the end u should of put the largest planet/star next to the smallest planet or put them all in order at the end so u could see all of them and all the differences.
Thank you mister008Gaming!
I love the music!!!

Smart.
4:50 the music really freaks me out when I was only 2
Animation is too slow.
Or, alternatively, your concentration/patience has been reduced by years of fast action scene cuts and manic TV programmes/films.
I thought it was only me
slower than snail XD
True
The Size of VY Masses Majoris blows my mind, if you don't know for size reference: 1 astro unit is the distance from the sun to earth.
It also doesn't exist. The last two stars are made up.
+Shockna Good! Because VY Masses Majoris Is Not Real!!!!!!!
VY MASSES MAJORIS IS FAKE,
uy scuti is the biggest!!!!
It ain’t the biggest!
@@allanjrletemas4509 It’s Stephenson 2-18!
I know this is going to surprise all of you but UY Scuti broke VY Masses Majoris' record. 62.5 AU is equivalent to 9,375,000,000 km. UY Scuti in one video(which is deleted)had 7250 solar radii which is equal to 67.3 AU. 7250 times 1392684=10,096,000,000 km then divided by 150 million equals 67.3
VY Canis Majoris in another video got 3600 solar radii which broke the record of Shadron Soul.
Guys, i know everything about UY Scuti, but according to the wikipedia, VY Masses Majoris is the largest known star in the constellation of Masses Major.
The beginning was pretty fine, but the ending was very cringey. VY Masses Majoris. Sadron Soul. Betelgeuse being a *brown* supergiant.
*pyterodactyl screech*
Can you imagine an earth-like planet as big as those stars? Adventure for life...
Zazzirah Spain It would be nice but that would be literally impossible in our type of universe. The biggest rocky planet we know of is CT-Cha b, which is about 2.5 Jupiter radii.
Mister008Gaming d
Mister008Gaming damian

I see a lot of people claim the last two stars don't exist, so I checked the Wikipedia and even it said they didn't exist! :)
this video is too slow
as soon as i started it i said that XD
settings >> speed >> 2. You're welcome! ;)
Denisa Bailesteanu still too slow :(
online youtube downloader -> download as whatever you want -> open with VLC -> playback ->speed -> fast (or shortcut keys [ and ] ).
too much work
These stars are about to explode: The massive star Betelgeuse, yes this is really how you type it, in the shoulder of Orion, ant it's about to pop. As is Antares, deep in the heart of Scorpius.
where is nml cygni?
In 2013,NML Cygni Is Largest
Between VY Canis Majoris and Shadron Soul,is UY Scuti
lol I don't believe the last two stars sorry
me to
Tima Prima lol i don't think they do, they seem made up, look at the name of the last one, and you should know what i mean. it's name is so like the one that is only the biggest star...VY Canis Majoris. there isn't anymore bigger than that one. VY Masses Majoris, lol come on, that is well made up
+nipper303 That purple hyper giant exists... but yeah... VY Masses Majoris... pfff :DD
+nipper303 It's True That VY Masses Majoris Doesn't Exist In Real Life!
+Adam Jensen Saint Google says the purple one doesn't exist either :(
Great this is just what i was looking for
Shadron Soul? More like Shadron Shit.

You Were Wrong, Pistol Star Is Not White But Blue.
Earth is actually much smaller than Neptune than it appears in this video.
No its not Neptune is 4 times bigger then earth that is not so big are smart but learn more and also subscribe and like to mi video its named paidaolivia@aol.com
Nice Video
sun is way bigger than Jupiter!
But the sun is only 100,000 km.
@@wonghc6078 no It's 1.3million km
Yeah,everybody knows that you stupid
Jupiter is 69,911 km in diameter whilst the sun is 695,510 km in diameter. While Jupiter is smaller than the sun it is still comparable to the sun. Though the videos sizes are a bit off.
BG 105 the sun. Is 1.4 m km
i had to fast forward the video two times, but i like your video
The last two are completely made up, and the scale was way off. Dislike.
All you need to do is Google their names. It requires no astronomical experience.
SmokeyPyro Yup, Last two are alll made up. VY Majoris Canoris is the biggest star known to man.
XBoy_Slasher now nml cygni and uy scuti are
Rishabh Jagota Nope.
See the edits, and edit description.
Wow. Would be nice if they also listed the stars diameter in miles or kilometers.
VY CANIS MAJORIS IS THE BIGGEST STAR!!!
in 2012, perhaps. But in 2013 The biggest KNOWN Star is UY Scuti. VY Canis Majoris has a Solar radii of 1420, weras UY Scuti has a SOlar radii of 1708. (Approximately).
10killboy Of course!
No it isn't
UY SCUTI IS THE BIGGEST STAR
not VY MASSES MAJORIS and VY CANIS MAJORIS
Sorry to say but its not VY canis Majoris anymore.. First it was the biggest star till they discovered UY Scuti!
If I say size doesn't matter , sun will probably start crying.
for people that dont know, canis majoris is the biggest current star, the others kinda died, i dont know how to say it.
Lol the last two stars don't even exist.
dat face doe
true
Sean Harris Glad you agree.
But it's possible that purple stars exist.
Parker Rowell I heard that UY Scuti has 1,708 solar radii. I don't know if that's true.
6:08 nice music
This video full of problem
Wrong Sizes
Wrong stars type
Too Slow animation
And...
Use 2X speed without sound of the video
Frankly, i didn't know you got a brown supergiant and white supergiant...
This video is so bad in so many ways. First off, what is MGM? If MGM means megameter (would be Mm which is still a very dumb prefix to use instead of km), then most numbers are incorrect. Ceres' radius is about 475 km. Earth's radius is about 6 370 km. And so on..
Second, if this video is about visualizing size differences then you shouldn't have the objects moving in the z-direction (depth), which in this case is away from the viewer. It messes up the whole idea of the video.
3:54 okay now that's just not accurate XD
P.S. it really is beautiful comparing the music of 0:20 to 6:50
SPAAAAAAAAAACEEE
*Problems:*
Too Slow
Sizes Incorrect (Even for 2013)
Scale is just SO flawed.
WARNING!1MGM=1000KM
Ok I forgot
It may not be 100% accurate but I appreciate the work it rook to make this video and give us all some idea scale..etc.So some can realize your god didn't create all this. More science less religion & just maybe one day we will travel to these stars..
shadron soul doesnt exist xD But it would have space in a science-fiction book ^^
The music accompaniment is cool, however I have to agree with Dan below.
Never heard of Shadron Soul and VY Masses Majoris. As far as I know the biggest star ever discover is UY Scuti.
The last 2 are fake.
That’s what I thought to🤔
Yea
There are no known stars with a diameter of 62 AU. That's about 9 billion km. VY Canis Majoris is significantly smaller (but still pretty big).
This is wrong
I agree to The the sizes and prders are completely wrong
why
this is just a video....
Since when was shadron soul and VY Masses Majoris discrovered????
VY Masses Was discovered By me in July 4th 2019
please everyone here should say ALLAH AKBR and say SOBHAN ALLAH
If you think the video is too slow, just skip ahead about 10 seconds each time a new planet or star is there!
The last two don't exist. The sun is WAY bigger than Jupiter.
2:46 it sais neptune is 9 times bigger than earth
Your pictures sais its 2 times bigger than earth

That's Very cool. Today i told the other members smartly.
I thought NY Canis Majoris was the largest discovered star. I highly doubt that the ones after that were even real.
It's uy scuti
@@AndrewGuns now it Stephenson 2 18
Not even close! NY Canis Majoris is probably a red giant star with a radius of around 120 times that of the sun (calculated based on the J-H band for the temperature, the K-band magnitude and Gaia DR3 parallax to calculate the bolometric magnitudes).
Unless you mean VY Canis Majoris.
Stephenson 2-18 is a red hypergiant that is currently the largest known star. There is no such kind of star as a metagiant.
7:15 That one is a joke, am I right?

Object sizes are way off. Jupiter is not that big in comparison to the Sun at all, and Uranus is barely larger than Neptune, not double the size!

Danny elfman music, I recognized it immediately
There is no such things such as Purple Hyper Giants -.-"... Maybe it is blue giant .-.
your lovely video makes me want to see more of uranus
what's MGM?
