Superb. Not just the way they handled the rescue and their calm reassurance and assistance for the daughter, from helping her bring the boat in, to driving her to the hospital, to offering accommodation during what must have been a terrifying time for her. Well done all.
The mayday call she put out was one of the calmest, completest, and most professional standard calls I have ever heard. Not to reduce the sterling effort of the RNLI and CG Helo, but that young lady was the greatest asset we had in the rescue that night.
"...care beyond the actual rescue." Well done RNLI!! - your skills and capabilities are far beyond measure!! Thank you for caring and sharing this story with all of us.
Praise God. This brought me to tears. Thank God for these life saving people, a smart calm daughter and a strong loving father. God is so good. God bless you all. 💪🙏🌻 from Bakersfield California USA
Thank goodness for the Coastguard and the RNLI. Every minute counts when someone is having a stroke, time lost is brain lost, and thanks to the Coastguard and RNLI he was gotten to the hospital and into the care of doctors and nurses quickly, minimizing the damage done by the stroke. It's wonderful that the crewman offered to drive the daughter all the way to the hospital and stayed with her and that the crew called to check on the father. That's going well above and beyond.
I am so pleased your Dad is ok. Respect to the RNLI crew for doing what they do so well, as they always do. Love the RNLI and I will continue donating every spare penny as always.
This man lives and is able to share his story of becoming ill with a stroke while at sea. Without the quick response from the RNLI, it could have been a different story. Thank you for your dedicated care to all at sea.
Two highly competent people who did nothing wrong still needed the help of the RNLI. The crews volunteer not to go out in a boat. But because they care for and about people . They will and do more than the “job” Tea, transport and a hug is not in the job description but in the hearts of them all. Well done the team… the crew on the water and the crew in the air not forgetting the rest behind and away from the “action” . All of the people played a part in the team.
This one moment is what all the innumerable hours of training, the dedication of the volunteers, the boats and equipment are about - to be ready at a moment's notice to save a person's life. To keep a family whole. Comprising mostly volunteers and financed by charity the RNLI is an outstanding organization.
Thank you RNLI. An amazing testimony of the expertise, care and compassion you volunteers offer. I had never considered the possibility of continued care. An amazing, wonderful and emotional encounter.
Well done RNLI and HMCG, having had two strokes in past 15 years I know that speed is of the essence in recognition and action in a stroke for a successful outcome. Well done to the Daughter in recognising the symptoms.
Wow! I shed a few tears at that. Impressed by the compassion and practical level headedness of the daughter in the midst of great stress. Kudos to the RNLI crew also and the testimony of continued care well beyond the actual rescue.
Just shows you, experience does count, however the sea is its own, that's why need the RNLI, the reassurance given by the crew is very heart warming, well done, greetings from Youghal, Cork
I used to sail many years ago & have been lucky enough to have never needed your services, but just knowing that you are there was enough. This is an amazing story which thanks to the dedication of the entire RNLI/Coastguard family had the best outcome possible. Keep up the stunning work & dedication to duty. THANK YOU!!!!!!!
Superb work by you, lifeboat and helicopter. Morgan, hope you can take your Dad out sailing again some time, perhaps if you have another crew member. Super looking yacht. Be interested to know what make it is. Centre cockpit ketch with wheel to the side is rare.
It’s not a surprise to see the care went beyond the rescue. The lifeboat houses are just that from what I’ve seen - they house a family, and when someone gets picked up by the crew, they join that family too.

Thank you so much Alison. We couldn't do what we do without our amazing supporters like you 💛
Very kind indeed. It's people like the volunteers of the RNLI who keep our society going.
Tizzie, thank you so much. Our volunteers, from crew to shop workers are all amazing

Again epic contact, he who cares wins!
These guys are angels on earth .

Thank you, Cat
Wow! Dad, you’ve raised an amazing daughter.
It puts my faith back in humanity.
Thank you, John!
The RNLI - just lovely, wonderful people with hearts of gold. So proud of what you do and pleased to support you in my small way. Salute!

It humbles me to watch the calm bravery of all RNLI persons. This daughter though, how calm and in control was she?
I know I seem to say this in every comment section of RNLI videos, but:
Bravo Zulu
