I haven't drank alcohol in 8 years, because I use the principle of not drinking for "One More Day", and the years continue to add up. So, the part at 42:15 really hit home for me. I like how Ed adapted the same principle his Dad used, of not quitting for "One More day", so he could keep himself going. Very inspiring! Thank you 🙏🙏

It is incredibly helpful in my growth to find someone on this level because so many are just so different on the surface than they truly are inside. As a parent I absolutely agree with this. I let my daughters see my failures and successes. I have broken down in front of them several times. I remember (I think on one of your podcasts) Robin Sharma saying "Potential unexpressed turns to pain." As a parent I have consistently told my kids, school has no bearing on your success in life. Everything I learned to be successful did NOT come from school. They have seen me working on the business I had with their Dad. And now as a divorced single parent they have seen me struggle to start my own business in sales. I told them when I pass away my only hope is that they follow their dreams. I want them to find out and use the gifts God gave them to help the most amount of people they can. There is such a need in these times for support and encouragement. People need your inspiration. Thank you for being vulnerable and emotional.

I started watching Ed’s channel late 18’ early 19’ it changed the course of my life, and my faith that I was destined to be more and do more increased dramatically. During the beginning I had no idea what I was going to do to change my families course, and over the years that path became more clear. Where now I know exactly who I am and what I need to do to deliver for my family. My father at the beginning of this journey was an addict that began with alcohol and slowly advanced to worse substances. This past year my Dad moved away from our home town to start over and live for him and as of today he is nearly a year sober working full time and fully supporting my journey in sales and business. Thanks to Eds honesty his story about his Dad always moved me to never give up on mine, and truly believe my faith in him is what helped him choose to be sober. Thank you Ed! 🙏

Ed or anyone from this team who reads this, I have to say that one of the reasons (among many) that I relate, and love Ed is at the very end when Jamie is promoting his book, you can see his shoulders rise and him get uncomfortable with someone shining the light on him. You can truly see that Ed is the type of man who is more comfortable shining a light on others and praising others than having him be the center of attention. I believe the reason he is so good at his talks is not because he is boasting but because he is talking because he feels he can help someone else's light shine brighter. Thank you for you being you Ed.

I’m in the middle of watching/taking in this interview. I’m already blown away at HOW MUCH I can relate to YOU. “FEAR” is the biggest thing I deal with DAILY!! 🙏😭 I never would’ve ever guessed Ed that FEAR is something that impacts YOU so much as well. Also you sharing being “labeled” as a kid & how that effects us, it sticks with us. I too know that contributed to a lot of my insecurities, but also actually helped me gain strength eventually. I’m not done watching this yet & already SO MUCH is hitting me PERSONALLY. Hearing you talk about how the loss of a parent changes you has tears rolling down my eyes & HITS MY HEART so deeply. I lost my baby brother 3 wks after turning only 8yrs old. That I remember VIVIDLY STILL now as an adult. Then losing both my mom & sister unexpectedly 4yrs ago exactly 1 month apart to the exact DATE. & “7” more family members since. I have a real FEAR of LOSING PEOPLE I LOVE. It started at only 8 yrs old & now has gotten worse obviously with all these recent deaths. I cannot let it paralyze me. As you said in a previous interview, “Time to take the floatys off, YOU CAN BE THE ONE!!” God has ALWAYS been the reason I haven’t given up. I see your biggest growth honestly Ed is your personal WALK WITH GOD. I relate to you even more these past couple years as you’re closer to God & I can literally FEEL IT IN MY SPIRIT. I’m an EMPATH & this is my greatest gift. It can be a curse too, but the benefits of this gift definitely outweigh the bad. I could write a book about all of this & my life. I have the most AMAZING friend who’s an author who pushes/inspires/supports me. I hope in my lifetime I get to have a real full conversation with you Ed. I hope it’s part of God’s plan. I met Michael Jackson many years ago & treasure that & would love to meet you. You have IMPACTED my life & my HEART. God bless you & THANK YOU SO MUCH. 🙏❤️🙏♾ #MAXOUT P.S. I was voted “shyest/quietest” girl in junior high. We have A LOT in common!! I’m crying right now. I literally CAN FEEL EVERY WORD you said, reading the part about your Dad in your book. 🙏🙏🙏😭 Now I see why I connect so much with you spiritually. Wow. Be a “FORCE OF LOVE” This is me LOVE is the GREATEST gift.

My dad never found long term sobriety, so my story plays out a little different. I chose to focus on the parts of my dad I loved and spent the last 8 years of his life taking care of. Hard and beautiful years all at the same time. No regrets. The love I poured into him just “one more” day came back to me in so many ways. Thanks for sharing your full self with all of us Ed! THANK YOU SO MUCH Ed, for all of your content, especially this interview. I am so thankful and grateful that I found your interviews a few years ago when I was rock bottom. Like yourself, I spent almost 50 years (I'm 53) feeling like I was never good enough, grew up overweight, and extremely self conscious and self sabotaging....never putting myself out there out of fear of being ridiculed or made fun of if things didn't work out...which as you know typically means you don't try at all. I was my own worst enemy. I became an alcoholic, trying to self medicate, and lost a couple amazing females in the process. I decided enough was enough in 2018, quit drinking, and I'm in the process of becoming a successful insurance agent. Hearing all of your content has been a HUGE boost for me, especially hearing how you had a very similar background. Thank you again Ed, and God bless.

Jamie your praise to honor Ed when he wanted to bring your greatness into the sit down and you stood fast in making it about him. Precious. His gifts of “caught not taught” gems flowed. High five you.

Thank you for discussing raising children and taking action on your calling. This is something I was just discussing with my husband, as I find for myself and other moms we can get lost on the priority of our children and feel torn on how much time to spend on our own callings.

Wow! Thank you Ed for your willingness to be so vulnerable like this. Such a powerful interview and really helped me. My father passed from suicide when I was 9 and mother at 27 from cancer like your dad. I too am still navigating fear like you outlined. The comforting words from our creator that came to me after my mothers passing was “thy will be done”. It is inspiring to hear you have received similar guidance along your journey. I also love your “be the one” analogy. I feel that way in my family as well. Thank you again! 🙏

This was powerful on so many levels! When you talk about the importance of dreaming during the day, it made me think about the missed opportunities when we quickly grab for our phones to entertain us. If we just let ourselves dream in the down times, what a difference that would make! I’m going to let myself dream more!
As a school teacher, when you talked about the big impact your 3rd grade teacher, Mrs. Smith made on your life, it reminded me of the big impact and ripple effect us teachers have on our students! 💕
I’m looking forward to reading this book!
