Does the primary experience any performance issues writing to the binary log and is there any performance hit with an application reading/writing to a primary database that is setup with a replica?

Thanks. Nice Video. Is there a way to match binary_log to relay_log. If there is huge binlog, then copy will be slow and i want to know if all relay logs are copied and applied.
