I hope you remember that Conservative Prime Minister Stephen Harper prorogued Parliament during his tenure as Prime Minister.
“A prorogation of parliament took place on December 4, 2008, when Prime Minister Stephen Harper advised Governor General Michaëlle Jean to do so after the opposition Liberal and New Democratic parties formed a coalition with the support of the Bloc Québécois party and threatened to vote non-confidence in the sitting ...”

how did canada get so down just because the us is around? I think he's right - the talking to trump, the tariffs, but isn't canada supposed to help itself out or something? Is it a sour version of the US where it doesn't have independence and exceptionalism or anything to stand up for itself when no one else does? It seems like canadians have been nice to each other to where they haven't stepped on anyone's toes to where they're not used to having to avoid it when it gets too much. At least trudeau didn't go dictatorial and south korea it, he tried - he seemed nice about it. I think he tried in many ways. It's kind of too bad, he'll be missed, but not too much by everyone.
Well he had a good start, a good try.

He didn't resign, he prorogued the parliament, meaning no more opposition nor any possibility for parliament to start a destitution.
    No more government.
He gave himself full dictatorship power up until sometime in the future when his own party will have elected a new leader upon a way of his own appreciation!
