Needed to be on a Yamaha bass but excellent song choice I saw Casiopea back in the 80’s my favourite track is Misty Lady

I'd really like to hear you play something from T-SQUARE, since them and Casiopea are my two and only favourite jazz fusion bands at the moment. If you haven't heard any of T-SQUARE's music i highly recommend them, their bass player Mitsuru Sutoh is so creative with his slap parts it blows my mind. A song i'd recommend is "Nab that chap" form their 1991 album "New-S" (Sutoh wrote this song)
anyways great cover, you've gained sub from me :)

hey! Thank you for your kind words. I do know many T-Square tracks, I’ll defo post some! I love a lot of their early to mid 80’s albums, much like casiopea; watch this space and thank you for the sub! 👊

    Nice!!!
I remember years ago, hearing Casiopea for the first time! It was their Super Sonic Movement track from their World Live '88 CD!
    Man I was blown away!!!

Real work out this bassline! You played it fantastically! Photographs is one of my favourite Casiopea albums. I really like Dazzling and Spice Road off the album. Nice playing mate, and that's a sweet sounding bass.

If your into your Jazz fusion, checkout DIMENSION. Tomohito Aoki played on a lot of their albums, and he's a killer bass player. He was the bass player for Toshiki Kadomatsu (who I see your covered a number of his tracks!)

nice tight sound ,, fantastic intervals, transition points
great recording level .. technical ,
think this goes into mark king could have slipped away into the world of advanced fusion,
yet somehow stayed loyal to the soul boy Chris Hill "all dayer" type origin of level 42
what bass it that lee ?

@@LeeTavMusic looks like a stanley clarke, bass, twin octave+
      Olympic ;D
i don't know much about gear
yet Brit Funk 1976- with exception by default of a few, was a anti Fender area- basically
a very early prototype of these kinds of basses is a bass called
"Dan Armstrong" another bass was the custom built Kramers "
the best has to be the Hayman 4040 ,,
Mark King working in a shop put it all together & made, or found a bass with all of these qualities . & obviously more
      cheers lee

Didnt Mark King use that style of bass back in the day?

    • @LeeTavMusic
      @LeeTavMusic  6 месяцев назад +1

@@DuffTV certainly did! It’s a replica of the 0003SA model used to record the first few Level 42 albums and played live until about 1985 🙌💪 thanks for watching 😎👍

Lovely bass, sadly the luthier John Diggins passed away last year.
I have similar bass made by John, GA24 it’s awesome
One of my biggest regrets tho was selling my Hayman 4040😢
      Great video 👍🏻
