Loved that vlog Wyn, great value considering transportation, caddy and buggy! Keep that left arm straight, right shoulder down, left shoulder up, look at the back of the ball when driving, your swing is coming along!! Have fun mate!! 😃⛳🏌
Played 100's of times in my years in Th Wyn. Great way to get away from the bar scene for the day. Saw many snakes on the courses when out there. Have you encountered any on the course yet ? They certainly stop you in your tracks
Back in 2009-2010 I borrowed an old mate's club's every Thursday. He run a bar in LK Metro nack then. Our morning would start with breakfast at Canterbury Tales in Soi Chaiyapoon and then a drive to either Pattaya Country club, Rayong, The Navy Course or the other course on the outskirts of Pattaya, whose name escapes me? My favourite was the Thai Navy course with its North, East, South and West options. Like most of us my golf is fairly poor for the best part, but we all occasionally hit a peach of a stroke which makes it all worthwhile 🤣🤣
@@welshwynI'm very happy that you have read it and responded. I'm planning to fly out this weekend or next week and hope to get a quick 3 week break in before I start my new job at the local railworks in Southampton. Obviously looking forward to it, but can't believe the cost of flights currently! I'm hoping it reduces over the next few days.
That was a good bit of info, definitely want to have a round next time . What is the quality of the hire clubs like ? Also drink bars around the course ? Thanks Wyn
Enjoyed the video wyn. Good info. Particularly about the pattaya fee. So chuck thd hire of clubs onto all in including tip and snacks 3k bht for a good day out and craic. Sounds good to me. I was looking at I rovers. I think once I make thd leap that's me sorted cheers again. When you play golf you should do a vid nobody else does it. Perhaps the Wednesday presentation and show people who they should seek out to join.
Thanks for sharing the info Wyn. Do you hire your clubs there / keep them at the bar or something else? I’m definitely going to be playing some golf out there and your advice about getting a handicap out there some great info 👍🏻
I've always thought getting a golf cart defeats the object of it, but I guess it must help with slow play and gets you out of the sun. Looks like a nice place to play :)
The older you get it can be harder to walk as all of ones injuries from being a Forward playing Rugby with associated scrums and rucks over ones career catch up. Or even various Football injuries, my mates ankle is in two stories- stages as he was always a guy who chopped your legs playing Football and broke it some times and once he hit 45-50 he was a mess and even many surgeries didn't completely fix it.
Treasure Hill 650 baht caddy fee and green fee in low season is a bargain but high season they make it compulsory to take a buggy which is 800 baht extra it’s a shame it’s a very easy course to walk
$100 aud per round of golf is extortionate. Its $40 per round in Australia. You would need to be really wealthy to play 3 times per week. That would be 15k aud per year. Looks like if I retire there will have to settle with once per week. Most things in Thailand are half the price of Australia but golf is a different story. At 2000 baht per round how on earth would a Thai person ever afford a round?
@@welshwyn I get it that you have a caddy and a cart, which I dont get for $40 . I guess if they fill up the numbers like you say there must be many rich expats who can afford 6000 bahts per week . Is golf in Wales expensive?
The only way to get better at golf and also the fastest way is to get yourself about 20 practice balls and choose a club that you want to improve on soonest and go and hit them. The more the merrier. If you hit say a 7 iron twenty or more times in practice, how often do you use a 7 iron every round, maybe 2 or 3 times, hitting 20 seven irons is better or equivalent to playing lets say seven rounds or so to improve your 7 iron play.
Thanks very much mate . I commented on your last vid asking for a budget golf video. Really appreciate the quick turnaround and all the info included much appreciated mate. Royal navy looks good the price, i look forward to gettin out there in april. Cheers pal 👍
