hmm. i would think so too. because, the one being recited in the video would make sense after our Thirst is gone and food has reached our throats.. The one you mentioned is more correct at the time of Iftaar. Because we say: اللَّهُمَّ اِنِّى لَكَ صُمْتُ وَبِكَ امنْتُ [وَعَلَيْكَ تَوَكَّلْتُ] وَعَلَى رِزْقِكَ اَفْطَرْتُ O Allah! I fasted for You and I believe in You [and I put my trust in You] and I break my fast with Your sustenance.

Aoa.I've just listened to his lecture on virtues of ramadan and in it,he told that this part of the hadith:Alahuma inni lakasumto....(despite being very popular among us)is Weak.And only the part he recited in the video is authentic.

And we should of course add our own personal duas at the time of iftār too; may He make us firm upon truth, forgive us completely and grant us the best of both worlds! Āmeen

You should try learning how to read Arabic, it really isn't that difficult. You can ask you local Shaikh/Imam and I'm sure he would gladly schedule some classes with you.

Assalamu alaykum . I heard that the narrators list of this hadith has confusions and not clear. And an Ulama claimed that this hadith is not on the aunthentic level (Sahih) but in the next level Hasan.
you break your fast when you are certain that the sun has set. Does not necessarily have to be at the time of adhan, because the adhan is given late sometimes. It is sunnah to do iftar right when the sun sets and not delay it 1 or 2 mins etc.
@@ibnamanot back in the time of the prophet Muhammad did they havs any clocks so breaking the fast at the exact time is not necessary, basically you break the fast by looking at the sun until it sets by using your instincts
@@saeedurrahman2056 Back in the time of the Prophet (peace be upon him), they knew exact timing of the sunset and dawn breaks etc. Because they lived in the dessert and they could see when the sun has set and dawn broke etc. Now a days it is hard to do that, specially in the cities where there are tall buildings, etc. Normally you go with google because they usually know what the correct time for sunset it, so if you know that sunset is at 8pm for example according to google, then you break fast at 8pm, according to the time on your phone, because those times are automatic and most, if not all phones have same exact time. What I meant is that some apps and masjid timetable put the time of iftar 2 or even 3 minutes after the time of sunset....so so it is sunnah to break fast when you know the time is 2 or 3 minutes earlier. wa salaam.

No I don't think so. Because certainty will lead us to think what we ask for must be given by ALLAH SWT. But that's not how it is you make duaa to ALLAH SWT and IF ALLAH SWT will give then fine ALHUMDULILLAH IF not it means ALLAH SWT has some other plan for us which is better because HE IS THE MOST Knowledgeable
