My son and I have been watching your videos, he loves them. He's six and is destined to be a mech eng like his Dad so these are some great inspiration. We're from Soo Ontario, somehow he called it within seconds of the first video that you're Canadian and sure enough you're in T.O
Dude, just found your channel today and I must say, as an artist that has always loved mechanics and physics, your art is just like the best of both worlds. I really wish you all the luck always on your journey, choosing art is not easy and it can really be quite expensive. Watching all the older videos and subscribing, anxious to see what more you come up with
7:19 😂 like a kid waiting and watching for his prize! Don't ever lose that childlike wonder! Makes all the days better, and is the dumbest things us adults lose when we 'grow up'
Nice work dude! I really like how you made it interactive. I haven't been to that show but I'm guessing it was probably unique in that way. @2:55 Also the big hands remind me of that episode of its always sunny where charlie's uncle is obsessed with large hands
Awesome sculpture design. The only thing to improve would be if you made it a bit more effortless to operate. Also for something like the hands, a cool idea to do that would be to print a thin 2 part mold shell, and use self-skinning foam. It would probably only take about as much filament and time as 1 hand, and the hands are not a structural component so they could be made of lightweight foam
What a spectacular build! I thought for sure that the special edition copies would be gone; however, I was fortunate enough to grab one. I'm very excited to get my hands on it 😉. It would be great if you could sign and number them before they get sent out.
Man I am so choked I missed this!! I’m from Toronto and went to Nuit Blanche but didn’t know you had an exhibit 😭. Great job though, really interesting to see your problem solving for scaling up the design!
Love your videos man! Watching you get that big thing through the door made my intrusive thoughts say “slam it against the door frame”. Also you may or may not remember a few months ago I said that I was making a controller mounted joystick that I found online. I just finished it yesterday because I had to reprint the baseplates which wasn’t fun. Then I had no string to attach the joystick triggers to the controller triggers. Then I had to move which was a pain and put the project off for months. I was only able to finish it yesterday though I ran out of cord for the 4th and final trigger on the joystick which was extremely painful. Always nice to see two projects come together at the same time
Thanks Max! I did bump it on pretty much anything I could on the way out 😂 luckily PLA is quite resilient. Happy to hear about you successful project! Doesn’t matter how long it takes 🙌
Jay, As your longest and biggest fan you never disappoint. Watching this with a big smile on my face, I just kept saying to myself, he never disappoints, he is always a step ahead in his thoughts. My only thought during the whole thing was, do you think in the back of his mind that he is thinking of putting motors instead of paddles? I know you were thinking it 😂😂🤣. Keep on keeping on, you’re awesome. Give your lovely wife a hug! See on the next great mind boggling awesome idea!
U went to nuit? Thats so cool I used to do that when I lived in Toronto, it was great speaking with you at open sauce, I saw these hands when I was there but I didn’t remember they were yours at the time
You should have built your own dampeners, easy to do. Plenty of examples from the last 100 years or so. Then you are self-sufficient as an engineer, as well. Cool project.
The best part are those big hands and their many possibilities available now that you've made them! I can't wait to see how you get (JBV)creative with those!
Guessing seeing the later designing, the UI looks the same and guessing it's the same. And in the design I see Solidworks. I'm guessing Fusion also has a slicer, but I'm only learning it and don't want to introduce more complexity or chances to mess up, 😂
Many people in Toronto grew up getting very excited when they would spot the CN Tower from places around the city and it seems to stick with you even as you get older!
Hay love the videos but i fell $198.88 dollars for sm that's 3d printed (with berrings) is expensive even if it's a collectors item but keep doing what your doing love the videos.
Oke.....have you thought of making more money of this thing and making it even bigger...😅😅?? Im asking because i saw a positive way of doing exercise 😂😂😂.... I men huuuuuggge padles so a foot can stand on and adding some hand rails....and you got a huge stepper that us not so ugly as most steppers .... then make the hands hold " standardized" Weights and your done 😂😂😂😂😂😂 Honestly it would be fun to see those things and you would have an even better sculpturen people could fysically interact with.....
Nothing better than making something you love at a massive scale!
Definitely learning that!
It's everything you love, but more of it!
4 times the surface area, 8 times the volume
@JBVCreative did you measure it to fit in your car?
He’s done it again folks. 😅 can’t ever not be surprised by your genius and imagination. Love it keep it up!
Thank you!!!
Could have stuck a mirror on the top to make it look like the person operating the sculpture was throwing their hands up. Cool project!
Hahaha yeah that would’ve been great! Thank you

Welcome aboard! Thank you so much!
@@Engineezy Happy to support at least with my watch time and likes ^^
I want to see this incorporated into one of those steppy walky sweaty gym machines! 🙌
😂😂😂
Great job! I love the creativity!
Thank you! 😊
for something that seems so simple, there's so much work put in, I love this kind of stuff!
7:19 😂 like a kid waiting and watching for his prize!
Don't ever lose that childlike wonder! Makes all the days better, and is the dumbest things us adults lose when we 'grow up'
Love that you're promoting mental health (being a fellow canadian is an added bonus)
This video turned out amazingly amazing! Good job on the storytelling!
Thanks Jesper! Appreciate it 🙏🙏
man i would totally buy a motion design course from you, hands down that would be your winning product
It’s definitely something I’ve been thinking a lot about!
make it in fusion 360 pretty please 🥺
I saw the short for this yesterday and spent a while scouring the internet for the stl. So glad you made it available! Thanks!
🙏🙏 thanks for your support!
1:12 why is that soooooo satisfying? 😂
Those soft close hinges were perfect 👌🏼👌🏼 good call
Exceeded my expectations!
That’s was awesome mate! So much fun 🎉😂
Thanks Mark!!
@@Engineezy anytime mate
Loving your videos dude. Really impressed by your creative mind every time. Keep up the great work!
Thank you!!!
I'm sure you'll sell out of all those hand sculptures! Congrats on the exhibit bro! I'll have to fly up for the next one!
Absolutely! Toronto needs a little Glinski!
The way you made it work eventually is so smart
🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Looks awesome at that scale!
🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌
Just bought the STL files for the small version, can't wait for the prints to get done.
Thanks so much for the support!
What happens when you combine an engineering genius who also has amazing artistic talent?
This!
🙏🙏🙏🙏
Fast becoming one of my favourite channels! Keep it up.
Thank you! Will do 🙌
9:18 literally couldn't help but immediately go there!!! Lol
Awesome man! Congrats on the good work
Thank you!!
Man your videos are so awesome thank you so much my best to you and yours God bless
Appreciate it!!
As I always say every small model needs to be printed BIGGER, Love your work mate
And then once its bigger, its always like this could be even bigger 🤦♀️
Love this project and video! 🙌🏻
Couldn’t have done it without your help!
Such a fun idea! Glad you did it 🎉
Thank you!! 😊
Make a tiny one next
Haha on atomic scale

It was definitely the only sculpture you were encouraged to touch 😂😂

HE DID THE THING!!! HE DID IT!!!
Great work, Jay.
Thanks Michael!!
Really cool, you should've put it on a "Stairmaster" type treadmill, so as you step it "raises the roof" 🙂.
Thats a great idea!
You need a counter and when the people have raised the hands 10,000 times, A confetti cannon shoots upwards out the back.
Ooh that would be great!
What a spectacular build! I thought for sure that the special edition copies would be gone; however, I was fortunate enough to grab one. I'm very excited to get my hands on it 😉. It would be great if you could sign and number them before they get sent out.

Great work. I’m a new subscriber and you have me for life. You inspire me Sir. Thank you for that.
Awesome! Thank you!
i would pay to go and see a collection of like these big things
Normally I skip through better help ad reads, (I already signed up ages ago) but I couldn’t look away from those hands 😂😂😂
😂😂
bro 200$ is insane
Good job. Nice scaling up. Audiance have enjoyed it as well. 🖐

Thank you! It’s actually still at Stackt for the whole month of October so you can still see it 🙌🙌🙌
Love it. For next year's, how about going REAL big?
Absolutely!

Thanks for the support man! By the way what kind of screws do you use? I was thinking about getting some M3x10 self tapping but what do you use?
Love it!
Thanks Kent!

Hahaha definitely did think it for longevity of the sculpture in public, but decided to keep the paddles and take the risk!
Great work
Thank you!!
You are crazy gooooood!
Thank you!!
U went to nuit? Thats so cool I used to do that when I lived in Toronto, it was great speaking with you at open sauce, I saw these hands when I was there but I didn’t remember they were yours at the time
Sure did! Its my fav event! Great speaking with you as well
8:14 you're gonna have to raise the roof so you don't bump it again 😂
😂😂 true
@@Engineezy 🙌
You need a little bobblehead on it, because it looks like a little person. Stomp your feet, raise the roof, bob your head!
Hahaha true! That would be hilarious
Curious what kind of filament did you use? I would assume something like petg, pla I don't think would last long out side.
It’s PLA+ and this will be a good experiment to see how it holds up. PETG would probably be a better better wouldn’t it
You are the best no doubt
🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Do you use the same 3D printer for all your creations? Or is there a certain one you use for the more mechanical/mechanism prints?
For these huge parts I used a huge printer! But generally I use any of my machines which are all different, just depends on whats free
In the video you could see he used multiple printers.
You should have built your own dampeners, easy to do.
Plenty of examples from the last 100 years or so.

You need to help out the 3D Print General.
The larger the channel the easier the target.
I have an idea! Add a bell like kind of greeting an exciting achievement
Love it!
Sorry but
that is what she said
9:17
you could have used some rotary dampeners
Those were next on the chopping block!
I wish I could have one of those. But then I'd get no work done. Hmmm
😂😂
For the uninformed, how much does that much filament cost?
Generally you can get filament for like, 15-25$ per kg, so somewhere between 120-200$ (USD)
About right!
3:58 what slicer is that?
Guessing seeing the later designing, the UI looks the same and guessing it's the same. And in the design I see Solidworks.
I'm guessing Fusion also has a slicer, but I'm only learning it and don't want to introduce more complexity or chances to mess up, 😂
What material are you printing in?
PLA+
What do you do If you get a Big 3D printer, you print things that does not fit on the bed ofcorse.
😂😂 very accurate
🙌
Agreed. 🙌🙌
What's the temp for the oven? is that 170 F ?
Yeah, ideally it should be lower but my oven has a min temp of 170F
I'm not from Toronto-why is it important that you can see the CN tower from there?
Many people in Toronto grew up getting very excited when they would spot the CN Tower from places around the city and it seems to stick with you even as you get older!

oh, that's cool
thank you very much!!
Hey bro...are you mechanical engineer?
I sure am!

🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌
How does he get such white prints?
Using very white filament!
Rubber band assist

Did it survive or was it trashed by the public?
It made it a few solid hours! But then it died 😅😅
