I didn’t understand a single thing of what the guy’s been doing in this video but I liked watching this a lot! It’s alway nice to see someone doing things the right way with the proper knowledge to do so👍🏻

Glad to see some forward momentum on this project. Also stoked for a super technical vid. Thanks for sharing it.

Few things I noticed and want to ask about. The first thing you do is measure the mains, and it comes back in the .0019 - .0023 range as we see on the dial indicator. But, at the end of the video you have a sheet of paper that shows all the main clearances in the .0024 range. Were things re-measured or different shells used after measuring the first time?
Second thing is you mention loosening the nuts on the girdle in the "right sequence". Wouldn't the right sequence be the opposite of the sequence used to torque the girdle down?
Finally, curious about the sequence you use for measuring the bores and gapping the rings. I've not seen the crank installed first and the bores measured and rings gapped after that. Do you do that because having the mains torqued down also distorts the bores slightly? Assuming the machine shop bored the block with both the torque plate and mains torqued.

Is there a specific brand of assembly grease you recommend or any is fine ?
