May it be as sung, that I will be praising my saviour all the day long, whether in good times or bad. As I go through this the most challenging time I've ever had, this is what I want to remember, Jesus is mine - that is the blessed assurance.
Yes, R Long. May it be as is sung; for you and me both; and for all the other saints in Christ that are going through our fiery trials. Jesus IS ours for now and ever. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen and amen. I read this this morning. It's James 1:2-5: "My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; 3 Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. 4 But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing. 5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally..." And this scripture also came to mind when you spoke of the "challenge" you face. It reminded me of my own circumstances: "Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you: 13 "But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy. 14 "If ye be reproached for the name of Christ, happy are ye; for the spirit of glory and of God resteth upon you: on their part he is evil spoken of, but on your part he is glorified" (1 Peter 4:12-14). Nonetheless I took comfort in this: Psalm 146:8-9: 8 "The Lord openeth the eyes of the blind: the Lord raiseth them that are bowed down: THE LORD LOVETH THE RIGHTEOUS: 9 "The Lord preserveth the strangers; he relieveth the fatherless and widow: BUT THE WAY OF THE WICKED HE TURNETH UPSIDE DOWN." Be blessed in Christ Jesus our Lord. Arlette McNeill (I know you wrote this 6 years ago, but it blessed and encouraged me today 9/28/2019. And, as it has done for me, may it be a blessing and comfort to all those who read it in Jesus' name. Amen.)

Many, many years ago I sang this as a solo. That was about 40 something years ago!
Give me that old time religion! Love to hear music with words you can understand and identifiable melodies that don't burst your eardrums.
