exactly :D he just hop in his own car i believe and everyone goes apeshit :D

Ya theyd be accessories to s crime if this show was real....its all actors. First season maybe was real. But now they know how to make very intertwining fakes
If the govt would just hire 5000 people to go through each container. They'd stop it. But obviously they don't want to stop it. They getting paid too
@Brandon Duncan It's more about slowing down commerce. The legal market dwarfs the illegal market and slowing down trade results in opportunity costs. At a certain point you need to draw a line.
It still amazes me why these criminals would agree to talk in the first place. They have everything to lose if and when they get caught.

Feeling pity for owners ok, but not for these thieves. I really hope God shows them best karma to them. Their hearts are dark. They don’t feel bad for us heck they would even steal your car if they have opportunity lmao. Would you still feel pity for them.

Just saw a case where a guy tracked his stolen car with an AirTag because it had happened to him 3 times, and when he tracked it down to a port, the police just said “sorry we can’t legally get it back”. I was so upset for the guy. He tracked it all the way to the Middle East and they still couldn’t get it back even through local cops
Crooked cops were probably in on it.

Awesome docu! Well presented!
Top class reporting, very brave of Mariana and her crew
How is this top class reporting? Am I getting something wrong? Do you really believe people would go through this risk of being exposed in anyway in social media for a crime that big?

It is nice that Mariana Van Zeller found a job at NatGeo. This is a well-done doco. I miss her reporting for Vanguard though, the topics were more important methinks.
Her husband is one of the big boy producers at Nat Geo :)
Thief so good he turned that green sedan into a SUV. We want to see real life scenarios instead of Instagram documentary.

Mariana Van Zeller makes such amazing documentaries.

When I clicked to watch I knew from the beginning my country Ghana would be mentioned thousands of cars are being seized by customs every month and most of them are corrupt they got their own garage where they display these cars for sale recently there have been a lot of arrest of stollen cars by coordinated investigation by both international and local law enforcement this is crazy

IF SHE IS BRAVE SHE SHOULD GO TO NEXT DOOR WHERE REAL LUXURY CARS ARE
I love how they yank on the handles of the cars to try to open them a few times then all of the sudden the unlock lights flash and they slide right in the car😭 definitely what happens when you pick a lock
This is a lot more complicated than shoving in a Crowbar in between the window trim.. down to the latch...
Theyve got unlocking devices...
@@SlidTossedPissedits staged. No way its that easy to unlock and steal a car.
@@junil6664
@junil6664 Keep believing that.
Our entire world... revolves around ease of operation and convenience.
Others exploit that.
And.. to be given THE CLUB as an alternative for some makes high increase in theft.. is stupid on top of stupid.
There... is a lot that isnt seen.
@@junil6664 you would be very very surprised. People keep keys near the entrance of their house. If they have a device to capture that signal they can replicate a key and just unlock the car and drive off. Modern cars are very easily stolen through a key replication device. There is a video of a guy who managed to get this device and "steal" his own dodge on RUclips without ever entering the house. RFID blockers are a must if you live in a bad area
@@junil6664nah it’s that easy bro, mates got a skeleton key that’ll open pretty much any car
Advise to everyone!!!!! keep your keys far from any windows or walls when you’re asleep. Your key fob is always sending signals which can easily be read from a computer. One thief walks around the house looking for that signal and when found, it is sent to the other thief that is by the car. Once the transmitter receives that signal the car is fully accessible.
Mariana doing journalism at its best always !!! 💯👊🏽💥

It's very simple, they already knew which cars they're stealing, that means the involved mechanic made the key for them, and all they had to do is get in the car and drive off. The handle pull was just for the documentary camera, to throw off the viewers!😂

Watching 'Smuggling Stolen Cars' on 'Trafficked with Mariana Van Zeller' was an eye-opening experience. Mariana dives deep into the dark and complex world of car smuggling, presenting it in a way that's both informative and gripping. The episode does an excellent job of shedding light on the risks and the intricate networks involved in this illegal trade. It's fascinating to see how Mariana navigates these dangerous waters, bringing the audience closer to realities that are often hidden from the public eye. Her bravery and commitment to storytelling are truly commendable. This episode is a must-watch for anyone interested in understanding the global impact of car smuggling.
Car manufacturers are just not doing enough to prevent car thefts . They don’t care because it brings more sales

During the 1960s in England they used to fit hidden kill switches to stop theives just driving off with cars. I understand some people still do it. Simple and cost effective.
What if first responder had to get inside they car ?

Perfect video introduction
On my recent trip to Ghana, I saw a car on a lot with a Virginia plate. I said to myself this was stolen. On the Mercedes that Ivan showed, it could be true that it wasn't stolen but an accident car that has been fixed. Most of the salvage cars that are sold at auctions ends up in third world countries to be fixed.
I shipped my car to Ghana with Colorado license plate on it. They are all not stolen cars. Most at times we buy salvaged cars from auction and fixed them like new when it gets to Ghana.

They ain’t gonna suffer rich people they steal from people…..REAL TALK
You all are forgetting that part of your car insurance money are ultimately going to these guys. It isn't police nor insurance company that are losing money because of these people, it's everyone who are paying for the expensive auto insurance.
The Mercedes with the claimed switched VIN has a grill that isn't a US spec grill, probably aftermarket. Good chance that one really is rebuilt and the VIN is original.
