2 years following the initial cancellation of terrawaves, i've decided to revive it and rebuild it from the ground up - i had a spur of motivation to bring it back since i honestly really enjoyed working on it back then; however the old songs were incredibly dated, and frankly not that great.
the approach i'll be taking for this new iteration however is quite different, as i will not be working on this alone; a 60+ song project is far too much for one person to take on, (unless you're insane) so i've invited some friends along for the ride. you'll get to see them soon enough.

I freaking LOVED Clotted Darkness, and this just takes it to a whole other level and I freaking adore it.
If this isn't a mod, even if wip, please make it one, I love its sounds, this song is just SO good.
Tbh it also inspires me for a new boss, not one of extreme power or strength... not at first.
This is now me just rambling about concepts for such.
A god of blood. They are not there to fight to their death, defeating them will merely hold them at bay, banishing them until next moon.
How to spawn?
Every 10th blood moon.
Also every 3rd boss you defeat (rematches count but all 3 must be different bosses) guarantees their spawn next blood moon.
The more progress you've made the stronger they get, the more attacks they do.
This boss doesn't have a ton of hp. But they heal from blood nearby, and will summon weak mobs (stronger at more progress) to assist them, and try to trick you into butchering the mobs nearby to heal them.
It will not rain when fighting them until post plantera because when it does rain during a blood moon, it rains blood... giving them major regen.
Post moonlord they will cause rain at half hp, and if it was raining beforehand trigger a harder variant whereupon it turns into a bleeding storm, with environmental effects such as spikes emerging from exposed to the climate blocks occasionally, random thunder spiking across zones (has a tell of sparks across area) and increased regen for all enemy mobs native to blood moon.
Loot includes lots of potions (randomized ones), a guaranteed amount of healing potions based off progress for tier, and some rare blood moon drops as well as bloody armor plates- accessory that adds very slight lifesteal to all weapons, but its real power is much stronger lifesteal from hurting enemies at close range. (Has hard damage that temporarily applies when hit or using other healing methods as a downside so you can't exceed being hurt with enough dps/other healing)
Also drops a few random souls (not light) if killed in hardmode depending on progression.
If killed during bleeding storm drops fragments of the blood-god which provide 6 randomized positive buffs for a randomized duration (30 seconds to 1 hour) but also 3 MINOR debuffs for the same duration (although the effects can be negated by accessories they will still be present until expiry to prevent cheesing by just putting on negation before using then removing)
The theme of the blood god could be a breakcore variant of this song, because that would go hard af, with it further intensifying during blood rain, and even more during a blood storm.
I actually still love the original rendition of this song, and while it does not fit the vibe of the blood moon as well as this, it was a perfect foundation to use

This is a significant improvement to the original terrawaves blood moon theme. The sheer amount of ambiance this would add to the event simply boggles the mind. Absolutely fantastic work!

this is just a personal thing, but i think you should try experimenting with ending runs on beat, rather than starting them on beat, it sounds better to me and thought you should try it out if you havent. other than that, its a really great song and it fits really well with the vibe!
