I see a lot of moms are mentioning that straight cornstarch is an effective alternative for baby powder and it's definitely true! Something I learned was if you take a coffee filter, put the cornstarch in it, and tie it with a rubber band, you can use that to pat on your baby's bum to make it easier and less messy! Also be careful with talc in make up products as well!

The Huggies wipes shown at 10:10 are excellent. They sell at Stop and Shop for 2.99. So you get them at a 1/3 of the price. They are solid, soft, moist and large enough to cover your hand. Many dollar store brand wipes are small, thin, dry and sometimes fall apart. I would not get the sesame street wipes.

I worked for a colorectal surgeon for 10 years. We used to recommend toasted corn starch for irritation. Just throw it on a pan and toast it for 5-10 mins. Put in air tight container and apply as needed. So yes its perfectly acceptable to use plain corn starch

I do use the Baby blankets at DT to make cut and tie little blankets that fit perfectly in the car seat. I also use the Walmart throw blankets that are $2.50 to make bigger ones. So much cheaper then buying fabric by the yard most of the time. Please note that I take off all the string around these after I make the blanket.

I have a great idea for those Bandana baby bibbs. It is to get 2 little tiny squares of fabric the size of the space where the velcro is and sew the 2 squares together. Then at the top of the velcro closer stitch the little pieces of square fabric to the top of the velcro closer. Then when u put those bibbs from the Dallor Tree on the child or baby they won't mess with there skin.

Get one of the salt and pepper shakers at DT and add normal corn starch. Not only is it cheaper but you can clean the jar as well. Also you can use baby powder (corn starch) for getting sand of your skin. We go camping all the time and using baby powder to get sand off is a life hack I will always use. It makes diaper changing after a fun day at the beach a breeze. I have a girl and sand is no fun in the diaper area. So we use the Baby Powder to get the same off.

If you need budget bottles and your baby is old enough for the med flow nipple, I'd recommend dollar tree ones over parents choice. Some of my parents choice bottles cracked, my dollar tree ones never did

I don’t have a baby yet but for those who have little girls with baby alive dolls the pacifiers from the dollar tree fit in most of their mouths. I use them all the time for my robot baby too. Also while not specifically in the baby section I’d recommend getting head wraps and the bow clips you can use them to make cute headbands

The sponge top bottle scrubby only works on wide mouth bottles or it just falls off constantly

Also cornstarch can feed infections but should be okay as long as you make sure the area don't have irritation already

rehusable diapers is what im going to use, i rather wash the poop off the diaper than spend tons of money in regular diaper that is also not helping with the enviroment.

Yes you can use corn starch. I do. My mother in law told me to do it with my first and I never went back.
