I was impresseed by this one. knobs at noon gives you a good classic rock sound, zero'd is a nice fuzz-like chunky boost, and dimed is a metal zone minus the bees.
Thanks for the cool demo! These little pedals are a steal.
RAMBLE ON BROCEPHUS 🎸⚡️Thanks for the demonstration, sounds great for the price! Rock on 🎸
Great demo bro! Thanks for just playing the darn thing!
i like it.definately seems alot less harsh than a ds-1.thought i heard a slight NEIL SCHON lead tone there for a minute even.hell ya man.great job brother.
Thanx for reveiw! Now i heared crunch distortion sound
Really great....demo...sound...presentation ...and the knob...close ups....make this...work.thanks.!!!
Thanks so much!
@@RumblinMan thank you...!
Yo from Thailand! It is John previously from St. Pete - you are playing one of my old guitars that ended up with Jeff!! That SGJ rules - and too funny I am looking to pick up the Dolamo here in Thailand to use with my Laney Super Cub 10 - you should check out the Laney Super Cub 12 if you ever get the chance. Cheers great video!
I’d love to check one out! That SGJ rocks.
Big fan of Dolamo stuff, have every one of the overdrives and distortions, started by buying the D-9 a few months ago...they’re supposedly Caline internals but I still think they sound better (I have some Caline ones too) Most recent one I picked up is the Vintage Distortion (Rat clone) and it’s bad ass! Other than me changing the control knobs for slightly bigger ones (purely aesthetic!), I think they’re great, especially at the price. The D-9 is an MI Audio Crunch Box clone I think...rock on!
That’s awesome bro! I didn’t realize that. I thought it might be like the BOSS for some reason. But it’s super cool. More Delamo demos coming very soon!
🤘 I think the D-9’s internals are from the Caline Sandstorm, another great crunch clone...but I also think the internals are shared by Pigtone too; I love that crunch sound and have a Pigtone Englishman distortion too. You should check them out as a brand as well, although I still think my Dolamos sound better 😉
@@Marimba7 yeah man. So, tonight I played a show on guitar and used the D-8 live. Love it. It’s a great pedal.
If I'm not mistaken, they are all caline. That said I really dig them.
So the "PRE" would be the crunch box internal presence control mounted externally? I had read this... agree?
Nice review, very good job, good playing and tones! This pedal problably it's a Caline Sand Storm rebranded, anyway both are good Mi Audio Crunch Box clones!
That sounds way better than a DS1 but maybe its like a modded DS1 because what ever they did to it made it shine, but not that i don't like the DS1 Boss pedal,i do but this sounds better for sure!
Their fuzz pedal is the original 1960's fuzz that Keith Richards and Clapton used, i forget what is called but easy to find.
Nice demo bro,btw in comparison which is sound good between twinote messa boogie distortion pedal?
Probably the Mesa!
Hey man, i bought one of these a while ago but im not very good with them. Like i cant seem to get a good tone for the music im playing. Could you maybe help out for a nirvana tone?
Im curious how this sound with single coil strat? Any idea?
Not great, very whiny on highs in my fat strat. But the crunch is nice if I'm playing the lower EAD strings. Can't beat that price either
DS1 will a presence control?. Maybe an amp in a box pedal. Doesn't have the DS1 fizz.
out of all the distortion pedals of dolamo, which one would you recommend for a beginner in building a pedal board?
The D-9 is a pretty good one. I also like the yellow one which is the D-8. I’ve used the D-8 on stage and it sounded pretty good.
Which dolamo would you recommend for grunge?
Sounds like it goes on my board somewhere.
Do you think it goes well with bass? To play pop rock, punk rock, British rock?
I’m not sure. I’ll have to try it with bass. I more recommend a pedal that’s dedicated specifically to bass.
Let’s gooooo
Is it a good one to play heavy metal and stuff like that
I dunno. I mean, you can. But the Dolamo pedals are so cheap. It’d be better to get something a little nicer.
Sirt it's ok if i use 12or any adapter?
Would you recommend this, or the D-4 (Black box), or the D-5 (Gray box) for a lot of really heavy hitting metal? (Things like Slipknot, or anything with really heavy down-tuned riffs)
Black box.
@@RumblinMan Thanks man!
Mine does nothing lol. doesnt even light up.
Can’t say I’m surprised. Haha!
It's plexi sound.
nah that's the Dolamo D-4 .. homie reviews it here ruclips.net/video/TICs8nkjNTo/видео.htmlfeature=shared
