You know that G2 in Summer Split has been worse than FNC and UOL? TSM vs FNC will be fun.
But TSM isn't even NA's number 1 team its CLG currently, so CLG vs FNC? If you are trying to compare number 1 teams from both regions.
Unlx The top 4 teams in NA have all beaten each other(CLG, C9, TSM, IMT). I forget which caster it was but NA LCS top 4 teams were referred to as a square.
I know that each team have lost/beaten eachother. I just thought you were trying to compare each regions number 1 teams, so if you were to compare, CLG would be NA's best chances currently as TSM games have been sloppy.
TSM is still the team to beat from NA. All the top NALCS teams said this even after TSM lost to IMT and DIG.

You guys do realize that there is a Rift Rivals for every region right?
Rift Rivals isn't a tournament just for NA and EU. Its for every region. NA vs EU, LCK vs LPL vs LMS, GPL vs OPL vs LJL, LCL vs TCL, and LLN vs CLS vs CBLOL. And technically this is 5 tournaments contained within one large event. It wasn't created just so any one particular region could win something, but rather to generate hype around international rivalries (as the name of the even suggests). Lastly: That whole part about NA and EU finally winning something internationally? Check your history. Fnatic won the first ever World Championship. Additionally, not counting IEM (2015 Katowice to those wondering) is just you cherry picking as it is an official international tournament. Now, if you were to say that the Battle of the Atlantic (2013) was just for NA's and EU's sake, I would agree with you, but this is not the case. And just so I cover all my bases, the All-Star events where teams Fire and Ice were pitted against one other won one event each where NA was on Team Fire and EU on Team Ice (and yes, I'm aware NA and EU were not the only ones on Fire and Ice, just that they were part of them). The All-Star events were set up in a tournament-esque style, so its hard not to include them. I'm not trying to defend NA or EU as I'm saying this by the way, I'm just saying if you think for one second that Rift Rivals was created just for those two regions to win something, then you just have a serious case of tunnel vision and that both NA and EU have actually had international success in the past. With all that being said, have a pleasant day.

Riot made a mistake letting teams recruit international players which has led to mostly "international" teams in in the NA and EU. This event is a great idea but there's no real regional pride at stake here, more like saying our recruited (mostly Asian) players are better than yours. I wonder why with so many players the NA can't produce world class players.

The Weekday-I don't know how you got that opinion from what I wrote. I merely stated my opinion that I believe Riot games made a mistake by allowing this flood of mostly Asian players to the NA, EU and elsewhere. I don't even follow the EU scene much anymore because I find deficio annoying. I live in NA and have attended several of these events live. But it's hard to cheer with some kind of nationalistic pride for a team that has a majority of players from foreign countries. And it does interest me why a country with as many dedicated players as the NA has to recruit players from abroad. Any other misconceptions I can clear up for you?
