  • *The abbreviated version of the video (assuming you have NO SCRT for gas):
    1. Buy ATOM on Binance/Coinbase/Some Other Exchange
    2. Transfer that ATOM to your Keplr wallet
    3. Deposit ATOM onto Osmosis Zone
    4. Swap ATOM to SCRT (using ATOM to pay gas!)
    5. Withdraw (read: Transfer) SCRT to your Keplr wallet
    6. Swap (some, but NOT ALL you need the SCRT for gas on Shade site) of your SCRT for ANDR on Shade Protocol Site
    7. If you want to LP, swap some ANDR or SCRT for SHD and stake

    In this comprehensive video tutorial I go over how to purchase the Andromeda $ANDR token from the Shade Protocol site. This video assumes you do NOT have any SCRT (which is needed for the gas fees on the Shade Protocol site) and shows you how to take ATOM from your wallet, send that ATOM to Osmosis Zone to perform the swap of ATOM to SCRT (using ATOM to pay the swap fee - no OSMO required) and then withdraw the SCRT to your Keplr wallet again using ATOM to pay the fees - no OSMO required! I then show you how to swap SCRT for ANDR, how to swap ANDR for SHD, how to get into the stake pool and then how to reverse the entire process! Enjoy!

    thanks bud. You explained it so well. Really easy to follow your instructions. So providing your token in liquidity pool means you can’t send them to your wallet? And I guess it’s beneficial to earn more tokens? Asking cause I have never participated in pools

      Hello, @AK-wm8lj and thank you so much for the kind words - greatly appreciated! To answer your question, yes, you are correct. Once the tokens are in the Liquidity Pool (LP) they will be tied up there and not available to send to your wallet. I remember my first LP experience and I was confused by that as well when the tokens disappeared from my wallet :-) but it is because you are depositing them into the LP on the site in question. Also, yes, it is a great way to earn additional tokens and in some cases (like the $stkd-SCRT / $ALTER pool) you can earn both $SHD and $ALTER. Thanks so much for stopping by and hope this has helped you out!
      Cheers,
      Travis

    Thanks for the very helpful video. I was able to secure a nice bag of ANDR. Question for you though -- do you have any idea how to bridge it to the Andromeda network?

    • @TravisBonfigli
      @TravisBonfigli  11 месяцев назад

      Hello and thanks for the feedback @DaveS-tf3ct - by bridging it to the Andromeda mainnet do you just mean getting it into your Keplr wallet with the "andrxxxxxxx" address? If so, yes, you can easily move your ANDR from the Shade Protocol site into your Keplr wallet. Here is a short tutorial I did up on how to do that: ruclips.net/video/gkPrJjwWK5Y/видео.html
      Thanks again for stopping by and all the best!

      Hello, @cryptozworld12 and I just walked through this with a test Keplr mobile install on my phone. Click on the 'hamburger' menu at the top left-hand corner and then click on 'Add More Chains'. This will open a new window and in the search bar type in 'Andromeda' and then click 'Add to Keplr' - now, once you do this, go back to the 'hamburger' menu and now click on 'Add Token'. In my mobile Keplr, Andromeda shows up right away. To the right you will see 'Add Token' and you will need to type in the 'Contract Address' and other details. I don't remember where I got the contract address, but let me look to see if I can track it down. Hope this helps!
      Cheers,
      Travis

      Hello! So, I have asked twice in their Discord group and nobody seems to know...there are at least another dozen individuals who are all asking and nobody is replying with an answer. Not sure what is going on...I am going to try again as I would like to add it to my Keplr mobile wallet as well! :-)

    Hello is there any way to store the andr token in any of the wallets

    • @TravisBonfigli
      @TravisBonfigli  Год назад +4

      Hello and yes, you can move the ANDR token to your Keplr wallet. Trying to finish up a video on it, but here is the high-level description of what needs to be done:
      1. Add Andromeda mainnet to your Keplr wallet (easiest way is to use this site to add it: chains.keplr.app/)
      2. On Shade Protocol site you have to UNWRAP the SANDR (Secret ANDR) so it is the transparent or "public" ANDR
      3. Then, you can bridge it from Secret -> Andromeda and into your Keplr wallet
      The bridge is not working right now and I actually have a ticket open...it worked about 2 hours ago, but of course, right in the middle of my video it stopped working. Also, after you add the Andromeda mainnet to Keplr, be sure to search for it and you will need to click on "Manage" and then click the box next to the Andromeda name and that makes it so that you can see ANDR in your wallet. Hopefully the bridge thing gets fixed so I can wrap up the video! LOL! Thanks for stopping by!
      Cheers,
      Travis

      how to swap back to SCRT from ANDR

    • @TravisBonfigli
      @TravisBonfigli  Год назад +1

      @@juharsambalpur2371 Hello and good evening! It is actually very simple to do. On the Shade Protocol site you simply go to their 'Swap' link on the left-hand side of the page (2nd link from the list of links there) and pick the two tokens you wish to swap. In your case, the top token would be ANDR and the bottom token would be SCRT - it is actually sSCRT that you would swap it to and then you would just need to "unwrap" the sSCRT if you wanted native SCRT as opposed to "wrapped" sSCRT. You would do the wrapping/unwrapping using the "Wrap" link (3rd from the bottom. The difference between sSCRT (or Secret Secret) and native Secret is that you need a viewing key to see your sSCRT...with native SCRT, you do not need a viewing key. Hope this helps you out and all the best! Thanks for stopping by!
      Cheers,
