I have no problems sleeping, I have always just loved the sound of rain. It makes me feel cozy and secure reading a book with a cup of tea. The sound is timeless and takes me out of modern daily life. Ads would ruin this. Thank you so much.

4 years of health issues and constant kidney pain, which gives me 2-3 hrs sleep a night IF I AM LUCKY... I love love love rain and thunder so I thought I would put this on for an hour before bed to help relax my mind...

This is such a great thing to read. I’m really happy to hear that. I sincerely feel for what you have been going through. 4 years in such an awfully long time to be locked in that state of insomnia. You had such a normal sleep. I am often still amazed at how much these videos really do make a difference for so many people. I loveeeeeeeeeeeee rain and it always makes me shiver slightly as I listen to it fall asleep so it helps focus my brain, but it doesn't rain the way I need it to even though I am in the U.K so this is now my go to video :)
I have just come off the phone with my best friend who also suffers terrible insomnia and I did not have to convince him much as he knows what I am like and that my pain stops me sleeping etc, I felt like I had the best night sleep ever because it has been soooooooo long since I have had a pain free night sleep lol
I am due to have my right kidney removed in april as it is now dead but is still causing a huge amount of pain around the clock, so I am hoping it won't be too much longer to deal with, however this video will be in my life long after my kidney has it's eviction notice that's for sure :)

I wish it actually rained like this more often where I live.
This rain and thunderstorm one is my favorite. I HAD a hard time falling asleep until I found this channel! Yesterday I turned this on, was reading some of the comments and actually started dozing off! It used to take me hours to fall asleep even after taking medicine. Now it’s about 15 minutes-1/2 hour! I've been in hospital for 5 months and I'm getting out on Friday Nov 25. This rain and thunder sounds are what gets me to sleep. Drowns all the snorers. I may have to ease back at home with this for a few days but not with earplugs!! Playing it on my nightstand. Cheers!!!

I think this is quite a satisfying recording of rain and rolling distant thunder. You can adjust the intensity by changing your volume. It works well on earphones but also sounds quite nice on speakers. I hope you enjoy and feel better for using it. Thank you.

There's a chill in the air tonight. It's rained for 3 nights straight. Most people in this town see the rain as a gift. More reason to keep out of the streets, away from the riff raf I've become so accustomed to over the years. This city, filled with curvy broads and wiseguys on every other corner. The rain keeps falling. "Let it fall", I say, besides, what better way to wash away the tears of so many fallen angels...
You know, when you grow up in an area where there’s no rain and only heat and dust storms, you come to love whenever it rains, no matter the cold you could potentially get, no matter how wet your clothes get, and no matter how dark or light it is outside, I will always love the rain and this video reminds me so much of it. My most favorite part is the rain
The raindrops trickle down their random path on the dirty window, I’m holding a steaming cup of coffee as I watch the rain. The cafe has one other person in it, an old man who looks like he’s been here forever. I sip from my paper cup and put it on the table. Buttoning up my coat, I flick the collar up and open my umbrella. Pulling open the door, I pick up my coffee cup. The cool evening air hits me and the sound of the rain intensifies. I raise my umbrella and step out into the rain. It falls reassuringly, hitting my coat and sliding to the ground. I hear it pattering on my umbrella, occasionally drops roll off in front of me, I gaze into the distance before starting along the pavement. I tip my head slightly forward and set out, taking a warming sip of coffee I walk past the cold dark doorways of the closed shops. As I reach the park I push open the iron gate and step onto the path. I look at the empty bench and the flower beds with their beautiful flowers nodding gently as the raindrops constantly fall on them. I continue on my way, sipping the hot coffee, feeling its heat coursing through me. I continue along the dark path, the flowerbeds give way to lush green grass glistening in the night, lit by a solitary lamp, it’s orb of yellow white brightness is topped by what looks like the brim of an old trilby hat. I walk past another bench with a litter bin, the rain is noisy on the discarded litter, angry with the tins and paper. I raise my head to see a pond away to my left. I take the path that leads to it and another globe lamppost close by. As I get closer I feel the urge to jump into the pond, I’m wet anyway so why not? Resisting the urge I decide instead to stop and finish my coffee. I see another bench and decide to sit there for a minute. I watch the raindrops dancing on the pond. I feel the rain on the back of my hands. I drink from my cup, finishing my coffee and removing the lid I put it on the ground in front of me, I watch it slowly fill with rainwater and listen as the tone of the rain filling the cup changes. Eventually I tip the rainwater out of the cup and crush it in my hand. I rise from the bench and continue around the pond to another pathway. The pathway leads me to another bench, a litter bin and some more flowerbeds. I put my cup in the bin and acknowledge the flowers bowing gently to the rain. I pull open the iron gate and head left along the pavement. There is a Zebra Crossing, one of the yellow bulb lights is flashing forlornly in the dark, the other light is missing, probably someone’s souvenir from a drunken night out. I cross the deserted road and continue my journey. I can see the railway station coming into view, or more accurately the bright glow of the station sign and the yellow light from the doorway and windows. I walk down the old, narrow pavement, branches of hedges are rubbing gently on my arm and umbrella. I arrive at the railway station and reach into my inside pocket to show my ticket. I emerge onto the gently lit platform and head for the bridge over the tracks, I slowly walk up the stairs, across the bridge and down the other side, each step is a tiny puddle. I arrive on the other platform. Looking to my left I see the green signal, the rest of the platform is lit with the same yellow glow as the rest of the station. There is a canopy jutting forward over a locked waiting room, a bench either side of the door. I walk over and close my umbrella, shaking off the last raindrops which have defiantly clung on, I sit and wait. Throwing out my arms over the back of the bench, I tilt my head back and close my eyes. Listening to the rain and feeling the cool breeze blowing gently on my face I wait for the train to take me home.

Have you ever think about how unlucky you are and feels like only the rain can calm you down from thinking unnecessary thoughts. Have you ever cried for no reason at all, It feels like there's a hole in your chest and you can't even fix it. I've been going through a lot andmaybeyou are too but I hope that like me you'll always choose to believe in yourself and trust the process. Maybe someday things will get better. Good night.

I used to try silence, then music, then calm music, then finally discovered that my nature sound recordings were about the best for creating a peaceful ambience that doesn't distract yet blocks out other distractions. Comfy earbuds, phone face down, tucked in bed, and with this on. It's how I got rid of my sleeping problems, used to fall asleep at 3 am whils going to bed at 11. Now I fall asleep within 10 minutes. Thank you, and goodnight everyone!

Rain is often associated with the emotions known as sadness, despair, and depression. While it can fit, I also find joy, and calm in the rain. I love when a rainfall last for more than ten minutes.

i make most of my recordings from a pretty large collection of audio field recordings that I've been building up for years. I also make alot of my video recordings as well. I do also have friends that are involved in film that give me some of their B-roll film and sometimes it is quite nice for what i want. I also have licenses for additional pieces of content - for some rarer things that i might not be able to record for whatever reason. I hope that explains things a bit for you. This audio recording was one I did from memory. Funnily enough I just recorded a very similar one today from a nice thunder storm that lasted for many hours. I will work though that one before too long and release it on the channel also.

heyo The Relaxed Guy! i just wanted to say thanks dude. i usually would stay up for hours on my phone and when i put it down i just couldn't sleep so i picked it back up. and when i was searching for rain tracks i found this one and as soon as i put it on i was out like a light. it would usually take me about 2-6 hours to fall asleep. and when i finally went to bed it would be 4 am, 3 am or 5 am, and I wouldn't be able to get that much sleep considering i have to get up for school (its Christmas break now.) this has been a game changer for me. and the fact that throughout this entire video theres no ads and only one at the beginning? BEST VIDEO FOR SLEEP EVER!!!🥰🥰🥰 would definitely recommend!
