Charlie Bird has died at the age of 74

Charlie Bird has died at the age of 74.
The former RTÉ journalist was diagnosed with motor neurone disease in 2021.
Since then he raised awareness of his condition and also raised more than €3.6 million for charities through his Croagh Patrick hike, Climb with Charlie.

Saddened by his death, but he was a very typical RTE reporter. Compared to UK reporters he was dreadful. But that's RTE for you they've always been so amateurish, or maybe they were just giving these jobs through nepotism.
