The only rain I saw getting into your tent was via that opening for the hot stove and whey you opened the flap. The ground water was being drained away rather then through your tent site. That takes skill, earned by camping experience. You picked well and you and Mars were able to stay dry and comfortable! 👍
Knowing well you have named your companion Mars; with all due respect, I would like to nickname him "Shadow", why? -- because of the way he's always in your space. Observing everything you do!
