My family has had a septic tank for about 50 years now, and we have no odors unless you remove the lid. But I am watching this video for a friend who wants to try a "composting toilet", and I guess that what the bio digester is. Is that a carbon source being put into the digestor? If so, you have to sometimes take the lid off and empty the solid waste buildup in the digester, so it is kinda like a (dry) mini septic tank in a way. You can empty it yourself though for free. This person is the only one who will be using it, so, maybe it would be okay or her. Okay Thanks for the link to this video.
nice presentation. Does the soak away attached to the septic tank 1st and 2nd chamber have a concrete bottom? I also noticed there were holes in the soak away chamber. is this safe and a good practice?
