Hello Trina, I am new to your channel and so thankful to have found you. I do love your technique and you colour combinations. Thank you for sharing with us.
@@MixedMediaArtByTrina 1 question. Is that transparent paper you spray with water before adding it to a piece with medium regular tissue or some other kind of paper?
@@golalehkamran9529 the paper is medical exam paper the is used in doctor’s offices. It’s more durable than tissue paper and when used with water and acrylic medium it becomes transparent. There’s a link in the description. 😍
Thankyou so much Trina for sharing your techniques. I am new to your channel and seriously, your presentations are some of the best out there. Love your voice. Love how you all us to see you changing your mind and changing things up a bit. You have some really neat stencils and stamps. So many tips to try. Im off to watch the previous one now.
Thanks so much. I ordered a Caton of the medical exam paper a few days ago, finally. I look forward to messing about with it. In a video you referenced something Jackie did-I watch her, too. I love your art. So inspiring.
Wow!! I especially liked the bubble stamp and how you added the white later on to bring out some white detail. I looked in your supplies listed below and I didn’t find the stamp I found stencils. I’m just curious what your stamp was. Thanks for sharing. Loved it.
Thanks Carol! That stamp is from TEMU. Search for background stamp and you should find it. I don't link to them because it just takes you to their app not specific items. Hope that helps!
Wait what paper ru using that's transparent? Is there a particular brand of gel medium you're using? My favorite line from this video is "Forget everything I just said." I'm learning so much from this video!
Hey Jennifer, the paper is medical exam paper that is used in doctor’s offices on the tables. It is not transparent to begin with, however, if you lay down acrylic medium, wet the exam paper, then apply gel medium over that it becomes transparent. There is a link to the paper in the description. And yes, I do say that a lot when mistakes happen. Haha! We keep it real over here! Thanks for watching! 😍
You can make the nickel azo gold by mixing 4 parts Transparent Red Iron Oxide and 1 part Nickel Azo Yellow. It is so close, I could not really see any difference.
Wow! Love all the texture! I’ve got to dig a marble out and give that a roll. You might have said but do you think the black paint for the marbles down with anything? I was so anxious to see how the exam paper glued down and I was not disappointed! Love it! I have the paper in my cart but am waiting to see what you think about Matt medium vs airbrush medium for ink on the gel plate. This is all crazy good!
Thank you! That exam paper is a game changer. ❤️ I actually use Sumi ink for the marbles but if you use paint I would thin it down or use acrylic ink. Either the airbrush or mat medium will work. You really use it to create a layer for the ink to grab onto. Hope that makes sense. Have fun creating! 😍
@@MixedMediaArtByTrina yes it does! Duh why wasn’t I thinking about ink for the marble? Idk …brain toot I guess…lol. In rh meantime keep bringing the content! Yes it does! In fact it’s so transparent I can’t tell where I placed it. If you use gloss acrylic medium it will be shiny in those places so I use matte medium. 😍
