People are afraid of police in general in the US and people are not afraid of police at all in China.

When natural disasters occur in China, soldiers are always the first to lend a helping hand. So in China, the people really like soldiers and police. You can even want to go to the restroom while taking a walk in the park and hand over your child to the police.Soldiers and police symbolize absolute safety in our eyes.
There was even a TikTok trend about how America messed them up and how that affected them as an expat, where Americans in Europe talk about how America traumatized them. Some of them talk about how different and nice it is to experience cops without fearing for their lives. And this is just in Europe.

It is also one of the reasons for Donald Trump to say that he "loves the uneducated" - because they are the ones who are most easily fooled.
In countries like the U.S., the running down (dumbing down) of their own education system is just one such move to make their own people, "dumber" (which is why their education system is so expensive as it then keeps out the majority from getting quality higher education).

Well said! The "if China's so great then why are so many people leaving"-argument is not a very intelligent one in my opinion and that's bcos there are many people from every country on the planet leaving their home country for a foreign one.
or what we Chinese say "the moon is always brighter overseas.". People tend to gripe and complaint about their home country and think it will be better in another country. That's why there are still Chinese going out to foreign countries and often when they got there, they regret comparing China to other countries when they are met not with hospitality but discrimination and inequality.

Technically, the war hasn’t ended, different from the resolution of 38th parallel, where the Korea has split to North and South, and both have become sovereign nations, each holding a seat in the UN. ROC is not recognized as a sovereign state in the UN. The U.S. has agreed to the One China policy with the 3 Communiques. Even our own ROC Constitution endorses the Unification of China and opposes independence of Taiwan or any part of the Chinese territory. This stance only started to change after the DPP came on the scene in Taiwan, and after the US started to foment Taiwan independence and use Taiwan as a pawn to counter China. Even after seeing the American influencing Taiwan and the US goveenment starting to deploy military officials to Taiwan island to train Taiwan soldiers, Xi has continued to address peaceful unification among the mounting pressure of its own people within the Mainland. Hopefully citizens in Taiwan will not be willing to fight another proxy war for the US, as Ukrainians are doing. Taiwan-Mainland issue is a domestic affair which other countries, once start involving and interfering, will be out of control regionally and possibly globally. Hopefully this is not going to be the case.

Well done Willene! I only found your channel recently and began to watch your videos. You’ve debunked lots of myths, lots of lies about mainland China, most of which have come from the West, lead by the US predominantly. Their media continue to share the same biased views about Mainland China and the people there. Different from the CPC or CCP (whatever you call it) from more than a half century ago, people in the Mainland are confident in their government and in their leaders. They have been, and more so especially in the last 4 decades after they see the transformation of their country. It’s a system that the US and the West will not accept, but the system that works and continues to build the country of 1.4 bn people with many ambitious plans, including lifting 800 million people out of extreme poverty, becoming the leader in renewable energy (wind and solar), AI, EV vehicles, high speed rail system, largest networks of subway, having its own space station (CSS) and its own navigation system of Beidou that’s more advanced than the western counterparts (eg. GPS), and the list goes on. China went from being the wealthiest country (for centuries if not millenniums) to the poorest and war-torn mainly by the British, American, and European countries (a century ago) and also Japan, and now back to the second largest economy, and is about to overtake the U.S. This is not something that the G7 would like to see. “How could you!? How Dare You!?”, they will say. “Your system is supposed to fail! It has been predicted to fail!” Only the Capitalism shall thrive! Well, I’m from Taiwan (Republic of China, its formal name) and have studied in the states, worked in China. Although Taiwan began to have multiple party system almost 40 years ago, our society is founded on socialism. Some of the Scandinavian and European countries in Europe are also founded in socialism as well where people can attend higher education for free, where in the states, the tuition is so expensive! Students can’t afford. As Harvard study shows, China’s government has the highest trust index in the world by the Chinese people. Of course, its legitimacy is something that people of the Western governments would speak against and try to discredit. When I was in China, I went to several churches in local town and metropolitan cities. People gather and pray at the churches. It’s common to see. I’ve seen many mosques as well (had not gone in) where people wore their kufi (special caps) worn by the muslims. American media would like to lead you to believe they will be thrown into the jail for wearing kufi in Xinjiang. That’s just absurd. I made a Xinjiang friend who was raised there and went to the university there. She told me the teachers, Han or Uighur Chinese, have been very nice to the Uighur and the minorities.
So TikTok must be kicked out or completely controled by US itself.
