Bought from Gary and not disappointed. Quality is top notch, slim, fits great, the bezel gives it a shimmer, the dial is one that gives a lot to look at than just the time so one glance is not enough. Definitely impressed with the brand. Top marks.
I don't know if I'm a fan of this dial, but it looks good from a distance. The diameter and thickness are great and the nice quick release bracelet is a step up. The only downside I see is the cyclops. I also don't like the glass dome alternative. The build quality of this watch looks amazing.
I feel this could definitely bring mechanical keyboard enthusiasts to the watch industry. This is awesome. Id love to see a custom job where you can emulate your keyboard setup on the dial
With that keyboard dial, I think the fluted bezel is a must, blends it all together. Still don't like the keyboard dial myself, but it's good to have options.
I love an unbranded clasp. When i have a few if them, I get them engraved with my family motto. But I would recommend these as presentation watches with a date and a pithy saying engraved on the clasp. Lovely!
How about a dial made of actual dirt?…maybe some rich garden soil or reused coffee grounds would be gorgeous!😆 (Watch does look well made - originality always welcome!)
Again an almost perfectly well done watch with one minor but exceptional missing aspect that I would personally would like to see ‘ a none polished side case ‘ brushed case sides please not the scratch magnet case sides. I get it polished case sides looks much more elegantly looks much better however the brushed finished case sides done well is the winning approach… Thank you for your channel and excellent reviews. !!
Whilst this style of watch always has polished sides, you can easily make it brushed, yourself. Use scotchbrite maroon or a combo of maroon white and grey. Test them out on an old teaspoon for practice and to see how they look. Or go for the real deal and buy Bergeron 5444 scuff pads. Rolex service centres use a combination of the fine and rough Bergeron pads. If you don't like the brushed look, getting it polished up again is a bit more effort but still possible.

@@ilikewatches I think the snobbery around Chinese watches needs to end, I have just bought my 1st San Martin and it's a quality watch full stop, regardless of the £150 I paid for it
@@Dean-f2cme too , i got my first San Martin in the sale , £158 for the GMT desert texture 39mm , so I pulled the trigger,, looking now they are £250. It's lighter than I thought, but the finish is great. San Martin should be thought of as mainstream now , I think they have taken over from Seiko as the go to watch for £200-£250 , only these are better value than Seikos , sapphire, same movement, cheaper, and you get more for your money than a Seiko, plus Seikos market of the £200-£250 range now cost £350 as prices have shot up , but quality hasn't.
I just ordered one of these. They got in touch with me same-day by whatsapp, they also called.. and messaged me on the platform to check my address so they could courier over the border (I live quite close to them). Then they sent me QC pics including a timegrapher shot. Replacing the bezel with a smooth one costs next to nothing at your local watchmaker, or if you're a home enthusiast. I wonder how the quality compares with Baltany's explorer. I'll find out soon!
Oh my goodness. This watch is spectacular and insanely accurate. It's basically a Chronometer. People go on about Baltany but this knocks it out of the water.
I shouldn't like this, but there's something very likeable about it. Edit: 3:30 why does that remind me of Spinal Tap - oh yeah, Nigel and his T-shirt 😀
i like how he has to not show the dial for 20 seconds so people actually click the video XD Says enough about the watch, hope they at least paid you well

Its perfect! The branding finally matches the product... Proxima just sounds like a typewriter company
Don't you mean keyboard?
@@orangeyellow-me1pz definitely typewriter. Selectric, olivetti, proxima, smith corona, xerox...
@@orangeyellow-me1pzlol you talking to old people. Proxima to me sounds like one of the nearest stars to our solar system
@@AvidUTuber that's what it sounds like to me as well.
I think it will sell even with the fluted bezel. The dimensions are great too.
Good find. 👍
Great review of a querky or should we say qwerty watch.
For those who are passionate about computers, this watch cannot be missing from their collection
IT departments will be full of them :)
I love computers...i study IT and I definitely want this watch.
Would of been better suited with a square case and dial.

That’s an insane value. This needs to be a series. The next one has to look like a computer mouse. 😅. Thanks for showing it to us!
If it was Rolex, people would be losing their minds
the finishing looks exceptional but i hate the dial lol
Bruh thats the main attraction. I was thinking of getting it for my programmer friend haha.
I feel this could definitely bring mechanical keyboard enthusiasts to the watch industry. This is awesome.

No.
I wish they also make a black dial of this. It would be a killer typewriter dial watch for my collection.
i hate that i love it , i bought the seiko metronome because i do music and now i want to buy this because i spend most of the time coding .
😂
You definitely “need” one of these!
I love the dial! Maybe a TV style case and integrated bracelet.
There is a TV screen watch , I think its got the picture of the test card as the dial
With that keyboard dial, I think the fluted bezel is a must, blends it all together. Still don't like the keyboard dial myself, but it's good to have options.

This is more appealing than recent trend of sketched "Royal Oak" abominations.
That’s the best original Rolex homage ever. It’s original it’s a true conversation starter. And it’s a white dial.
Good for them for risking it with such an unusual dial, not really my thing, but it looks well done. Please more weird things for the future, Proxima
Quite an interesting piece, i just wish the word Automatic and the Proxima branding to be in the same font as the ones on the keyboard.
Best dial ever for a desk diver 🤣
Good one!
Even more with the actual dive watch version! 😅
Well I said I would so just purchased one with the flat glass which I think is the best option at least for me.
How about a dial made of actual dirt?…maybe some rich garden soil or reused coffee grounds would be gorgeous!😆

I swear I'd pick this up if it was really $15
Yeah, sorry....$155
Just looking at it there's no way it'd be that cheap. The detail is real on that thing 😂.
The most beautiful dial I have ever seen. This Dial > any grandseiko, patek, tag heuer, omega dial!!!
Designer sits in his program trying to come up with a design, thinking what to do, what to do....
He looked down on his keyboard, and the rest was history.
Realy creative design. Is very very nice, so diferent. Love PT 5000, date, nice price for a Hi Beat movmt. Thanks for the revue.
I think it’s pretty cool. I’d love to see a baseball field dial on a decent Chinese watch.
Those time graph numbers were better than my PRX 80😂
Most of the bigger Ali brands seem to regulate their watches before posting them now

And there's some sort of a cap on the pinion too! I have seen more expensive watches with 'exposed' pinion. This is great!
That's a really different watch face. Superb find.
Thanks

Wowsers, but it kinda works! Shame about the clasp, they went to all that trouble but couldn't be bothered signing it!
Boss "We need a new dial type"
Designer "Say no more!"
*LOL*
Designer: looks down at keyboard 😮
How would you compare quality of this watch and bracelet to some san martin worth 200-250$?
Is san martin better? Is difference noticeable?
Next ... the black hacking matrix background 😂😂😂
Interesting watch I like the dial but the fluted bezel is a killer for me.Going to give this one a miss.
Better layour than most laptopts nowadays
It goes really well with well with my calculator watch
I for 2 , like it 2.
I might get one just for the uniqueness of the dial but I really don’t like fluted bezels. Also just realized it’s only 37mm. Too small
I Like Watches, cool video it was really good
Thank you.....I appreciate the comment!
Nice review intersting watch,well done.
Not well thought out design- I would remove that fluted bezel and use a square tv dial. Should've taken some design cues from the 90s/00s PC
I would buy one for my son, an engineer, if Proxima had any for sale.
I shouldn't like this, but there's something very likeable about it.
Edit: 3:30 why does that remind me of Spinal Tap - oh yeah, Nigel and his T-shirt 😀
If it was a GMT I'd buy it.
I like it,shame its a small dial.i would luv it in at least a 39mm
Should be 36mm to fit the style. It is too big which is out of fashion.
Didn't seiko do paving with their ginza model?
Hello Gary 👋
Probably the worst possible combination of a super crazy dial with a super conservative case.
Proxima and Cronos far outshine San Martin
Aaaaahhhhhgggggg the dreaded cyclops 😢
but you like it on a rolex?
Oh look, they put a keyboard on the dial. HURRRRGHH!!
Please review Proxima PX1704
That’s brilliant!! I bet the next model will be with a “calculator” dial !!😳😲😜😂🤣
Seems to be hyperbole to call it original, it’s clearly a Rolex DJ homage with a different dial.
The only thing that reminds you of the Rolex is the fluted bezel. It also makes it ugly because of that.
Is this a bluetooth keyboard?
Something for my nerd friends. I really like it but it's not for me but it should be a must have to some enthusiast
Weird but compelling
Perhaps a little too niche for me to jump on it.
i like how he has to not show the dial for 20 seconds so people actually click the video XD
Says enough about the watch, hope they at least paid you well
Meh! - it’s still just dropped into a Faulex.
Where're all the clowns that say Proxima doesn't make originals?
The dial keyboard design is ridiculous. Bad idea.
It is cool and interesting but why would you want a keyboard on your watch dial?😂
I hate fluted bezels, seems old fashioned.
Repost? Sure i saw this a couple of weeks ago.
What is that dial about ? It’s horrid, if they make that with a nice sunburst dial it would sell like warm buns 😎
Horses for courses I guess. Hideous imho.
Shame about the font and name.
$155 not 15.
Thanks I did amend immediately but it takes a few minutes to filter through
Quirky
oh hell no
'Qwerty' nickname?
€178.99 it’s expensive
Mi dispiace fratello
I would not buy it, but it is pretty cool 👌
Hell no 😂
When will I buy another watch with a Chinese mechanism: NEVER, EVER.
🤦♂️
Ugh..
Well that’s horrible…
I think it's fantastic and original
