    // ABOUT THIS VIDEO //
One of the best things to do in Switzerland? EAT! (But being in the Swiss Alps is a close second😉)
Switzerland food is incredibly fresh, natural, and tasty. We’ve spent 2 summers living in Interlaken. Here are our favorite Swiss foods, Swiss drinks, and where to find them!
    - 🧀SWISS CHEESE: Of course! Delicious cheese to eat on a picnic, or cheese fondue, and even raclette. Straight from our favorite local place. [Find it on our free map!]
    - 🍫SWISS CHOCOLATE, naturally. It’s what Switzerland is known for!
    - 🍽️SWISS FOOD like local dried sausage and fresh beef.
    - 🍴SWISS CUISINE such as quiche and Sunday bread.
    - 🐮SWISS DISHES. Our favorite is the lamb, but you can’t go wrong with beef or rösti either!
    - 🍰SWISS DESSERTS, including hazelnut cake, and, well, a lot of Swiss cakes!
    - 🍺SWISS DRINKS. Beer is the go-to beverage here! But Brett loves coffee too much to not share his favorite cafes with you.

It's "Zopf", (spoken with well heard "p" in the "pf") or "Butterzopf" (because in original recipes is much butter in the dough) not "Zoff" (with two "f").
Zoff is somehing very different, it means something like having big trouble. "Ich ha Zoff g'haa mit XY" means "I had massive trouble with XY". Asking someone "wott'sch Zoff?" is very aggressive (U wanna have trouble!?),
while "Wott'sch Zopf?" is a friendly question (You like to have some Zopf bread?), usually asked while sitting on the breakfast table. ;)

I have seen several of your videos now and they are all excellent. It seems that you love and like Europe and are happy here, I should not be surprised if you are thinking about moving to Europe, although Switzerland is very expensive compared to other countries, but Europe has so much to offer there should be a nice place to find with security. I like Rick Steves!! 😆
I will say though that his stuff isn’t always kid friendly. When using his material for geography I have to edit. Not once have I had to cut stuff from any of your videos.
    Such good information!
I know that everyone says CH is crazy expensive but we live in a tourist town where the prices are pretty much the same.
The only exception is meat prices in the grocery store.
On the other hand, if you go to the health food store and look at the price of grass fed beef you’ll see it costs the same, if not more, than what it does in CH. And if I’m not mistaking that’s what you get there. All grass fed?
I took my 14 year old and my 3 year old to a little café yesterday.
3 sandwiches, 3 desserts, 2 sodas and a latté… over $70. That was for lunch.
There’s a place that my husband and I go for our anniversary.
    Charcuterie
    Salad
    Main course
    Dessert
Drink (Usually something non alcoholic. Just can’t stand that smell! Not offended by anyone who enjoys a drink though.)
    $350-400.
That’s just the 2 of us.
    Anyhow still saving pennies!!
Enjoy your videos very much. Locking away the info for the future!

We aim to make our videos family friendly because we have 8 nieces/nephews who are always watching!

Can I just clarify something? You speak about Starbucks as though their coffee is drinkable (which it is NOT)? Is that your badis for comparison of coffees?? Please answer as if you drink Starbucks, I will have to disregard everything you say about food and drink! 26 million Australians can't be wrong - Starbucks is AWFUL!

      🤣🤣🤣
I guess you missed the part where Brett mentioned that his love of coffee originated when we lived in Rome, Italy (hello straight espresso!) ☕️
And fun fact, there were zero Starbucks in the country of Italy when we lived there.
Hope that clarifies! Thanks for making us smile at your passion for coffee! 🙂
