This video is one of the several stories of my failure and success of hitchhiking in America. After the first failed attempt of hitchhiking in USA, I again tried my luck on the second day. US is totally different from other countries in terms of hitchhiking. Its really hard to get a ride from strangers. People are scared of strangers because of gun culture. Also its not safe to roam near downtowns/gas stations after evening. You should exercise extreme caution if you don't have your own transportation. Be safe and enjoy your trip - from Atlanta, USA.

Many Americans mistake hitchers as beggars with signs looking for money. And, you can only take advantage of a persons good nature for so long. Besides, people are taught from an early age not to pick up strangers. It only takes a few psychos to ruin things for everyone. Like serial murderer Ted Bundy who would fake having a broken leg to get rides with pretty girls and then rape and ravage them to death. It's very sad when we can't hardly trust people enough to show them a genuine act of goodwill and kindness. And, Americans for the most part are both. It's nothing personal or racial despite what the haters want to claim. I guess people think we are supposed to be perfect or something, we're not. And, btw...neither is Russia.

When I was in Delhi, you started releasing these series, at that time I was very busy. Aur us waqt jo bhi thoda bahut time milta tha wo bhi bda stressful rahta tha. Esiliye maine socha ki jb mai apne ghar pahuchana tb hi aapka ye wala travel series dekhunga aaram se चाय पीते हुए। Finally reached home yesterday and started watching latest travel series of my favorite RUclipsr from today.

Use microphone of brands like RODE, AUDIO TECHNICA, BLUE ETC.
Do some search about microphone , as which kind of microphone is suitable for outdoor .
Search about pickup pattern of microphone as Super codroid , codroid etc....ensure that your microphone have max off axis rejection so that surrounding noice can be rejected , so that your voice become clear.

Loved it sir. I also had some queries regarding US Visa and posted some questions in Tourist Helpline. But not fulfilling the eligibility criteria is prohibiting me from getting the B1/B2 visa. Abhi to student hain, nhi ja pa raha, job milega to jaenge. Lekin usse pahle apka tour dekh k aisa lagta hain ki main apke sath ghum raha hu.

Why hitchhiking though? Trying to prove the point? Or trying to keep it inside a certain budget? Because you could take bus for example.
Yea right a person should go along the way of that place.If he didn't get that guy I bet you he kept standing there for whole day & made himself more tired/sick.I live in Boston & belong to PK.He can get bus ticket minimum $15-25 on weekdays to N.Y. rather then this khuwari or frustration.

you finally accomplished your will to hitchhike.People like Varun are an epitome of patience and hardcore dedication .If "hitchhiking" was a religion than there is no doubt that Varun should probably be deemed as the creator,founder,father etc.... of hitchhiking.This video is also a real life example of the famous saying"where there is a will there is a way"........pardes mein jab ek bharati doosre bharati ki madad karta hain toh sacch mein bohot sukoon milta hain dil ko aur ek bharati hone par garv mehsus hota hain.......admire and love your work Varun bhai.......:)

Enjoyed your experiences. One mistake that was obvious was that you chose a wrong spot for getting a lift. Please understand, people are driving on average 55 miles per hour. They need a fair amount of distance to stop and also they need enough shoulder space so that traffic behind doesn't hit them.

Actually Propane used more for Barbeque-ing rather than Driving Purposes.

Actually CNG vehicles are available in USA. Here in California Honda and Toyota sell CNG vehicles. They also sell hydrogen powered vehicles. Many of our buses also run on CNG.

US has the world's highest crime rate for people per sq.km. That's why people don't risk to help someone hitch hiking. I live here and I laugh when the media calls India the rape capital. India ka crime yahan ke mukable kuch nai.

How wise is it to keep on persisting when you know that the chances of getting a ride is slim. It's not only dangerous but it can put amateur hitch hikers at risk.
