We had the opportunity to hit the trails with REV'IT! when they launched this collection and the bulk of the feedback on that jacket was that it should have a back protector pocket standard. REV'IT! had to rename the style to Component H2O over a copyright issue with another manufacturer so in that process they were planning on making updates based the feedback they had received to that point from their sponsored riders and dealers. I've reached out to see if that is still the case and I'll update this once they respond.
@@MotorcycleGear thanks for ya quick reply. The Component is on the market for a few years now. I just bought one and it hasn't been updated since "ever". Let us know if something new is coming 😉
@@BurningFeetAdventures You bet, here is the official answer : The Component H2O is going to stay as is and there is hope that REV'IT! will include this update with their second version, the Component 2, if they release it in the future.
Quick clarification required - as frame of reference, I do wear the REV'IT Cayenne pro jacket in size L, and I'm interested in buying the proteus protector jacket from REV'IT Should I stick to a size L or downgrade to an M?
Hi Amit, the Proteus does have a stretch fit but it is slightly undersized compared to the Cayenne Pro jacket. I would suggest that you go with the same size as you have in the Cayenne Pro for a good fit. It should be more snug to the body in the same size (L) but still be comfortable.
Hi mate. Were did you get the info that the component H2O jacket will get a back protector pocket update?

Btw - the Component 2 is out now, and is the same thing but with a back protector pocket and new colors.
@@cblais19 thanks for the info. I just checked it. But the new colours are really ugly 😱
