I first heard William McDowell in prison and since then I haven't listened to anyone else besides him. And his music has gotten me through some of the toughest things I thought I would never recover from. But to God be the glory and Mr. McDowell. It is important that we understand the name of the Lord for how can we run and find safety in a name we don’t even understand. His name is very symbolic of His nature and purpose for coming to earth .. when Gabriel told Mary she was having a baby and that “they shall call His name Jesus(Yeshua) for He shall save His people from their sins”, he was explaining why His name was Jesus while telling her what He would do... Yeshua means Yahweh Saves and Yahweh means He Is... so Jesus literally means “He is salvation” that is why “there is no other name given amongst men by which we must be saved.” Because Jesus does not just save but He is salvation.
