Hi! We are Phil and Alex! After leaving California in an RV, traveling full time, and helping our littlest with an open heart surgery, we've settled down in Tennessee. We found our homestead land and are learning each day how to live a more sustainable life. We are a family grown through the miracle of Adoption & Infertility Treatments. Our precious daughters are Kinsley Grace (7 years old), Callie Jo (6 years old), and Cassidy Drew (2). The girls are adorable.
When you have extra sour milk you can give it to chickens as it's very good for them. My grandparents did it all the time and they were healthy. It's good probiotics for them.

Alex I used “Mommy’s ear’s don’t hear whining” on all my children(2 girls,2 boys) and it worked. None of my children whined after a few sessions of me ignoring them until their tone changed. Hope everyone recovers and no one else gets sick. Hugs💕

My broth is always less intense than in the crockpot. Even when it's the same ingredients and time frame.
I was never much of a coffee drinker until I was in college as a Mom of 2 kids then covid lockdowns hit with a toddler and a Kindergartener while still in college. Coffee daily now.
I was even in the Army for 5 yrs and worked with the fore depth for 3 yrs before that and I never was a coffee drinker before 2019

This doesn’t work for everyone…but two things I do when my family gets sick (cause mom CANNOT get sick…lol)…is first take a lot of vit-c…research it and take what you are comfortable with…if it is a stomach bug everyone else who is not sick yet…drinks Concord grape juice…about a half a cup on an empty stomach every 6-8 hours or so. This always works…it is pretty crazy how I don’t get sick anymore.

If you follow Stephanie of chateau Lalande she gets helpers who work for food and a place to sleep. Most of the chateau owners do this. And it works great

Actually pressure cooking foods loses less nutrients than slow cooking. The faster it cooks, the healthier it is. That's what I've been told and I've also read it several times.

Sorry to be so basic, but can you do a video on the different flavor of farm raised/ raw animal products vs commercially produced?
For example, when my husband hunts wild pig, it tastes identical to pork from the store.
But when I buy grass fed beef from a local farmer I find it tastes very different (and I don’t really like it).
I have gotten eggs from friends that I like as much or better than store bought eggs. And I have gotten eggs from friends that I absolutely cannot eat (But I can bake with them).
We’ve had quit a bit of venison and elk but I’ve REALLY had to learn to cook it.
I’ve never had raw milk, but I assume it tastes somewhat different from store bought, and I suspect the flavor has changed as Wesley has grown.

Do you make ricotta from the whey left over from making mozzarella? Do you include the skins when making your chicken bone broth? Alex, you are right on point about guiding and training children in using effective communication, and I had to chuckle when you said it takes some training, because my thoughts went to the training being with parents as well as the children. 😄 I own up to having to learn how to effectively communicate my needs and desires to my son so that he could understand why the whining and fussing 1. is not acceptable, and 2. just ain't gonna get him what he wanted. You got this.

Does your bone broth gel in the pressure cooker? I can't get mine to gel unless I use the slow cooker.
Dairy does not cause mucous. The body creates it when we get sick, the milk is thicker, so it sticks to the mucous.

I think you need to disinfect your whole house and every surface that Phil touches. He also needs to wear a mask everytime he goes near anyone! Drinking detox tea could help also.
Good point about the mask. One would think that quarantining would be a high priority for the entire family perhaps when they are having to follow protocols prior to testing and retrieval. Yes, house disinfecting, no visitors, avoid groups/crowds, lots of hand sanitizer, and mandatory wearing of masks and the 6 foot rule when they do have to go out in public.
