  • Kelowna is a city in the south of Canada’s British Columbia province. It’s in the Okanagan Valley, on the eastern shore of Okanagan Lake, surrounded by provincial parks, pine forest, vineyards, orchards and mountains. Its downtown area incorporates waterfront City Park and a lakeside cultural district. More than 20 local vineyards offer wine tours and tastings.
    1. Kangaroo Creek Farm: Wallabies & kangaroos are bred at this family-friendly farm attraction, also home to emus & goats.
    2. Hot Sands Beach: Located in the heart of downtown is Kelowna’s most popular summer hang out spot, Hot Sands Beach. Being a key part of City Park, this is one of the first sights you’ll see as you drive into the city from West Kelowna. A long, sandy beach, clear water, shade trees, a walking path, and sports courts are just a few of the many amenities this beach has to offer. Hot Sands Beach radiates Kelowna’s beach culture. You’ll see people of all ages flocking here to enjoy the hot summer sunshine and relaxing or playing the day away. There are few beaches in the Okanagan as well known as Hot Sands, and for good reason. During your next trip to Kelowna, this should be at the top of your list.
    3. Meadow Vista Honey Winery: Meadow Vista Honey Wines is located in Kelowna, BC on a five and a half acre farm, nestled amongst the orchards of East Kelowna. In partnership with our beekeepers, the farm is home to 150 hives of hardworking honeybees. The hives spend time on our farm as well as other local farms, providing important local pollination while gathering sweet nectar to make honey.
    4. Summerhill Pyramid Winery: Winery offering tours & tastings of organic/biodynamic wines, plus a bistro & an aboriginal gallery.
    5. Myra Canyon Trestles: Located only 24km from downtown Kelowna (40 min drive to Myra Station). This scenic drive will take you past farms, orchards, vineyards, and golf courses. The road up to the trestles is a gravel road, but most vehicles should be able to make the climb during the summer and fall months. At Myra Station, there is a large parking area right at the entrance of the KVR.
