Good news, as of a couple of months ago the Grand Adventures along with other obscure Telltale games like Strong Bad and Monkey Island are back up and available on Steam
Strong Bad got delisted. Mainly because of The Brothers Chaps allegedly not receiving a lot of money for it, so if true it's fair to not renew the license with Telltale.
Editor Note: Apologise for how late this video was, but a lot of issues came up and also sorry for the lack of music in this video. Joe who provided the music last time was tied up with other projects, but hopefully will be back for the next one! :) Show some love to Joe as he's awesome! Also, sorry for some audio being a bit jumbled in some parts and some spelling mistakes (Like "were-chicken") I'll get that sorted for the next video! Joe Pugh Soundcloud: soundcloud.com/brosephwithfries RUclips:ruclips.net/channel/UCwLft7avbkSYrh7rpMLzvKw?view_as=subscriber As for the rest, the next video will probably take a little longer as I'll hopefully be moving soon! Right that's about it. Take care and stay safe everyone!
I wonder if maybe those extra plot elements from the Were-Rabbit game were in the earlier versions of the movie and got cut out for one reason or another. The Flushed Away game featured two hamster butlers which were meant to be in the movie at some point but got cut out. So you never know. I also recall the Tangled movie had a similar fortune teller scene in it at one point but the writers decided it was too spoiler-y and redundant so it got cut. Perhaps the same thing happened with the Were-Rabbit fortune teller.
Yeah, I believe DreamWorks Animation were responsible for those cuts as because of the success of Shrek, Katzenberg wanted all his films to be like Shrek because it's what works, even the stop motion animation studio at Bristol had to make them because otherwise the film would fail, like it's stupid and it's because of this is why Aardman cut ties with DreamWorks.
I will forever defend Grand Adventures as the best Wallace and Gromit game. Its a faithful adaptation of the humour and storytelling into the one game style I think fits them best. Love Ben Whitehead as Wallace, yeah you can tell its his early days in the role but as the permanent voice now he's gotten better. My big problem is Telltales treatment of it, by which I mean they dont really acknowledge it nowadays despite it being well received and considered a hidden gem amogst their games. I'm glad they got put back up on Steam but they really need to be re-released on modern consoles, maybe even remastered as a lot of the textures do look very blurry at points. Is it likely to happen? I honestly think so.
Every British person loves or has loved Wallace and gromit, when I found out about the creators passing I was very upset as there would probably not be any more episodes.
@@user-ne4os8hv8x Nah wallace and gromit aren't gonna stop. There is a movie set to be released on netflix in 2023 along with another chicken run. They hired Benjamin Whitehead to do an impression of Peter Sallis Wallace. Even though it'll never be as good as Peter Sallis he's still pretty good
I've had my eye on the Telltale game for a while now. As of me making this comment they're extremely cheap on CeX at £2 for the first half, £1.50 for the second. I've been wanting to collect as many of Telltale's games as possible so I should probably try them out whenever I can. Can't say the PS2 games have my attention for the moment, though.
There was also another "game" that came out in the 90s, not so much one game but a series of activities you could do. There was an animation one where you could make a short clip of Wallace and Gromit, I think you could do a train sequence, window washing and maybe something else but I don't remember
Editor Note 2: Hey everyone! Just wanted to mention two things: 1. 5,000+ views?! That's amazing! Thank you so much! 2. I've been getting a lot of comments informing me that the Grand Adventure games have been re-released last year. Don't worry! I'm well aware of it and got myself the games on Steam last year too! But thank you all the same for keeping me informed about it! Let me know if there's any other Wallace & Gromit games I might have missed and who knows.... Wallace & Gromit Game Reviews 2? ;) Take care, guys!
I wish that they would make a remastered collection of these games with improvements made to them to capitalize on the new 'Wallace And Gromit' movie coming next year.
Hummm...🤔...I don't know if I wanna collect these or not....❓️❓️❓️ I got one the other day, but like, after watching this review, I don't think I need them in my collection...💯✔️
1:21 Granted, Wallace & Gromit in general has very little content. Just 4 short films and 2 feature length films after 35 years. And a couple of commercials & Cracking Contraptions shorts, I suppose. While Shaun the Sheep got 2 feature length films, 172 flippin' TV series episodes and even a spin-off series called Timmy Time which was another 80 episodes.
This style of video reminds me of very early Caddicarus; in the best possible way…also Wallace & Gromit had video games other than the Telltale series?
project zoo is a weird, janky mess but i love it its a hidden gem imo. coins unlock some extra videos behind the scenes and so on, imo shure the game is repetive but the game overall is fun damit its a mes but i like it idk something about it makes me go "i like it, its a mess but yeh" also grand adventures is geting a remake/re relese btw. also peater passed away in 2017 unfortunately so its impossible to get him back and ben dose a good job imo. (coment duped lol)
Well um hello👋 I just found your channel 🙂 To be honest the were creatures are necessary given it’s a game🤷♀️ I’m attempting to get through Project Zoo 28.10.2021
Can we all agree that without gromit, Wallace would definitely be dead
Even in the first short, Wallace knows that.
That is true
Without gromit he could’ve been shot in cotw
100%

"the part the video where I end it all" Geez, they can't be THAT bad!
Poor choice of words on my part tbh. Lol

Still play Project Zoo from time to time, absolutely love it
This isn't Chicken Run!!!!.....oh wait. A Were-Chicken. Nevermind I'm happy again
There's also were-weasels and were-rats too!
@@whalleyreviews imagine if Feathers McGraw was in the movie maybe we could have gotten a Were-Penguin
Oh god...
Every British person loves or has loved Wallace and gromit, when I found out about the creators passing I was very upset as there would probably not be any more episodes.
Yeah the same
The creator, you mean Wallace’s voice actor. The creator nick park is still alive. Wallace’s old actor died in 2017
@@monkeygamingify yes, that’s what I mean 😅

I think that Ben Whitehead at times almost sounded like a British version of Goofy.

Yeah, thankfully all three games are very cheep to find and the Telltale games are worth it!
@@whalleyreviews ooo I need to play the game
Lovely cheese gromit was the original name for my channel lol
Where is the WareChicken in the movie xD
@@dom0_2007 I've been wondering the same thing... XD
Four now If you count The Big Fix Up. 6:37.
Correct 😊
Im old and remember Wallace and Geomit Cracking animator on pc. Think there were a few activity pack sthle games back then.
Grand Adventures is now back on Steam and GOG.
Fun fact: telltale re-released the grand adventures on steam

Yeah I think your talking about the pc game from the 90s called wallace and gromit fun pack

there are also a couple of wallace and gromit VR games
I actually prefer Telltale's earlier linear games over their pick and choose where the story goes of the later years.
The TellTale ones are back on the PC stores as of 2020!
I wish that they would make a remastered collection of these games with improvements made to them to capitalize on the new 'Wallace And Gromit' movie coming next year.
ALSO I GOT TO END, EXCUSE ME IS THAT BOTH A LUPIN THE THIRD REVIEW NEXT WITH AN 8-BIT COVER OF FIRE TREASURE...AND I WASN'T INFORMED?!?!?
It is on both! My next video will be Lupin related and I've had the 8-bit Fire Treasure as my end credit song for a good while now. :)
God I remember that Were Rabbit film game, always found it very confusing as a kid.
It still is confusing at some parts! Haha!
I could not get past the first level as a kid just did not understand what I had to do

They should release a Wallace & Gromit MMO, so you can build your own West Wallaby Street & complete missions with your characters!
Great video! These games are so nostalgic

Thank you and I'm glad you enjoyed the video! Also thank you so much for the sub! :D
When a RUclipsr is underrated
Yes it was Peter in the were rabbit and project zoo games
There was actually a 4th game in this series in the form of a DVD game that is a party game about curse of the where rabbit
thar zero sugar coke looking mighty fine as co star
Best co-star I've had, so far!.. xD

To be compared to Caddy is quite an honour! XD Thank you so much! And yes, there are more Wallace & Gromit games out there.
Project Zoo came out before Curse of the Wererabbit. Project Zoo was better imo but Grand Adventures is easily the best though.
Dude, your videos rock! Such a good quality
I Loooveeee Wallace and Gromit
Congrats on 500 subs.
Thank you! :D
My favorite Wallace & Gromit game is Wallace & Gromit: The Cruse of the Were-Rabbit
The coins unlock clips from the wrong trousers. Oh and Project Zoo was released before curse of the were rabbit 😅
Ah... that makes sense! Also, I know I got it technagly the wrong way around, but when writing the script for the video it just flowed better.

If I remember, getting the tokens in Project Zoo unlocked short clips from The Wrong Trousers and one of the Cracking Contraptions shorts
