Did Rich just say at 10:47, "the Hawks-Tua" game😂😂
Where have you been? He's been saying that since the schedule came out.
I paused for a moment and said the same thing!!!🤣🤣🤣🍺🍺 nice one rich!!
He keeps saying that, he just can't help himself. Trying to look relevant by knowing about memes even if it's not really appropriate for this content.
They liked the Fanatics check...they don't care how we feel
gonna cry ? @@Ishai1
I love the format and chemistry of this show. Congrats on one year - I really thought this had been around for years.
I totally agree.
It was . It was a bit they did on the radio show for years and then they made it a separate video on their YT channel and it was consistently their most popular clip so then they decided to make it a weekly podcast with its own show, feed , set etc
The "Hawks-Tua" game was such an underrated line, Rich! 10:46
Thank you, Brockman. I’ve been saying that for two years now and you’re the first person in the national media to bring up how bad to the Seahawks time of possession has been. The defense has been so bad a getting off the field on third down. About time somebody said it.
I'm eager to see how this revamped LB core looks week 1. We know the secondary has some potential ballers, but this team needs to win defensively in the run game to get us really excited. If we're seeing the CB's constantly coming down to whiff the tackles that the LB's and front four constantly dont make, it's gonna be another long defensive season. You look at their two biggest threats in the division, its no question they need to get better there to have a chance. "Time of Possession" as a whole is a focus point for this team. I'm worried that their bombs away offense might help them score more which will help them of course, but it wont help the defense get any breathers.
No one else said it cuz no else is as big a nerd as Brockman
@@ndbobby1 To be fair if we're gonna have Rich be the optimistic we all need in the sports universe to diametrically oppose the cynicism/negativity in the industry, I don't mind having Brockman be the guy in the know (or is willing to pull up his laptop to be in the know) who also pushes the envelope to a rediculous degree for content. We need at least one nerd on the nerd program show.
I love Over-Reaction Monday's. Keep this going !!!
Holy moly donut shop!!! You guys actually talked about Seattle. Man hats off to you guys finally. And nice hawk tua Rich, Lol Thank you for finally talking Seattle.
The receiver market needs a correction. You don't need an elite receiver to win a Superbowl.
Chiefs would agree.
Easier said than done. We all knew this already watching the patriots, yet here we are
That only applies if you have a hof QB, TE and coach not taking away from chiefs but they have weapons especially Chris Jones
The entire market needs correction. They'll piss dudes off but it's all way outta control
@@christianmoten591 Turns out. preventing the other team from scoring as much is also good.
These recievers make me love DJ moore more every day
As a Panthers fan, I miss Moore terribly lmao
Fucking love you RICH! I can listen to you forever. Thank you for your service. Game day with the boys is the best.
Thank you for putting some RESPEK on Seattles name lol
*RESPECT
@@jrod2510 I was saying it like their sound drop lol
The eagles getting to the NFCCG is a pretty big leap of faith Rich is making. I could see at least 4 NFC team already saucing them: the 49ers, Lions, Packers, and Rams. Assuming one of those teams is their opponent in the NFCCG, is it really reasonable to think they’ll get past the other 3? I’m not feeling it
They were literally in the Super Bowl last year.
@@jeffbucy4483 yeah and they were dogshit this season
Packers will probably fall off. I don’t buy into them fully yet. Especially on defense. With Hurts healthy, a new OC that’s not terrible, and revamped secondary, they are going to be legit. And that’s not even factoring in Saquon.
@KFBALL247 as a cheesehead, I can see that. However, I do believe we'll make it to the NFCCG at least.
@@Lorenzo-vm5ex 11-1 to start the season is hardly dogshit.
Kind of hard to say Seattle wouldn't be viewed as a playoff team when I consistently see them ranked 20th-25th in power rankings
Yeah they seem pretty dismissed overall. Chris Brockman pointed this out, this is a team that has been very competitive for a long time. Even if they aren't a top tier team, putting them in a category as low as the Panthers Commanders Patriots in offseason lists seemed absolutely baffling. They should be in theory significantly better as a whole with better coaching. Even if we are concerned on Carroll leaving in terms of that competitive spirit, that better fresh minded coaching should at least leave them middle of the pack. Which in their case would be a significant jump to have their defense be middle of the pack.
The thing I think that gives pundits pause is San Francisco but Seattle can be a playoff team, and can be significantly better, and not necessarily be required to win the division to do so. I find it weird people don't realize one doesn't have to correlate to the other. There is no shame in Seattle potentially winning 10 or more games and not winning the division considering San Franciscos pedigree in recent years.
Power rankings aren't real mate. All fake
Yall need to do a top Five overreactions the came true first year show!
Chris, how you’ve felt the last 2 years is how us lions fans have felt our whole life till now.
Dennis Allen shoulda been canned before this season
They'll correct it after. They almost have to. Unlike their other troubles, his salary doesn't count against the cap. I respect that his D keeps fighting for him but they have been an uninteresting operation as a whole since Brees retired. Which to be fair, they went all in hoping to get another title. But yeah.
Rich has never seen a star contract that he doesn't want to boost. He'd have enough money to pay about 42 guys if he were a GM.
He’s a lib so he doesn’t know how to balance a budget
He’s not gonna argue someone shouldn’t get their money, why would he try to prevent someone from getting paid
Taint jokes were super underrated and. It accounted for in this video
Here’s my overreaction Monday overreaction:
More than 1 team will make a coaching change before Thanksgiving
Is one of those teams the Giants or Panthers?
@@mistertaz94Canales just signed he's not getting fired. Dennis Allen (Saints) and Sean McDermott (Bills) are my picks
@mistertaz94 I think if Sirriani has another mid season collapse I think he might be on the hot seat, especially given all of the talent they have, and Dennis Allen will probably be fired if they underperform at all imo
@@brettinnis1807 David Tepper’s track record says anything is possible if the Panthers are bad at football.
Well, good thing you dont have a show then

You're going high register careful :)
I love the Bears/Brockton hype. It's so fun to watch.
Come on Rich,Purdy is going to want his money.
Going to find out what the 49ers think of him
Man...those Kelly Green unis look sweet. Not an Eagles fan....but Cunningham was my favorite QB as a kid. Love seeing those colors again.
Drake Maye played 3rd string and practice squad guys against Washington. Commanders didn't play any 1st stringers even to start the game in week 3. Maye did look good though but measure it against totally vanilla defense and against guys who are likely to be on practice squads.
It’s silly how people like Brockman hate on Shanahan when they ended the show with some proof of his greatness: Robert Saleh leaves for NY, 49ers are still good, DeMeco Ryans leaves for Houston, 49ers are still good, Wilks is a bad fit as DC, 49ers are still good, everyone agrees Jimmy G was mid, the 49ers were good the whole time, they use 3 quarterbacks in a season, still good.
Hawks Tua Game.. lol.. Way to spit on that thang Rich
This is a great segment every time
It was hard for me watch football at all in the early 2000's when the 9ers fell so hard. Hang in there Brockman its awesome when your team rebuilds into something great in a completely different way.
How you think us Browns fans feel… haven’t been relevant since before I was born
What up Rick always good for seeing you guys 😅😊❤
No chance The Dolphins win the AFC East.
they've been overrated for a while now but ya ..agreed
Thank you rich and brockman for acknowledging the seahawks exist. I hope we’re decent this year. When we’re good us and the 9ers have a nasty rivalry. I want to see that again
That's great CeeDee lamb is a fine player but he put up those numbers because he was the only good receiver on the team... Aiyuk was on a team with kittle, deebo, (essentially both #1 receiver quality players) cmc, etc.... Chase was on a team with tee higgins, tyler boyd, (both also #1 talent level guys) Joe mixion AND was playing with a back up qb half the year so cut your nonsense. Lamb is not the better receiver of the 3.
You don't know what you're talking about. The cowboys also had Brandon cooks and Jake Ferguson at tight end. Deebo Samuel is overrated and takes entire games off and doesn't even try, kittle is a shell of his former self in regards to receiving.
"Unlikely to be possible." That's Rich gold.
That Pats schedule is freaking BRUTAL.
i dont think the 49er super bowl window thing is like, CRAZY. C-Mac and Trent Williams, massive parts of their offense that does not look the same without them, are getting really old. I don't think they're all the team has, and the defense should be good for a while. But there's been a lot of teams in recent years with great defenses who have iowan offenses and miss the playoffs
No fn way dolphins win the division, they lost their entire d-line tua can't hit the no. 2 WR still consistently. Bills lost half their starters. Jets are the deepest AFC east roster, A Aron injury was a fluke and the entire world knows that if he's upright they can go very far.
Hilarious that Rich called the Jets 1st Team All-Pro LB “Quinnen Williams brother”, like you’re not wrong, but Quincy deserves a little more respect than that
93Rs aR3 Done Dude 😎... Send It
no sports media are allowed to question josh allen and the bills.
Drake Maye is gonna bring the Pats to the promise land..
After seeing that Pats schedule, I don't think they're gonna be favored in any game this season and I was honestly struggling to even find 1 win. I could see them bring 0-8 heading into that game at Tennessee.
To make matters worse, Levis has been looking good
Arizona.
6:22 As a Falcons fan, I really wouldn’t be leading off your talent group with Takk 😅
What do you guys think about part of veteran's contracts being 'off the cap'? Giving teams an incentive to sign their own players. I love football, but I miss the days when you knew your favorite players would always be with the team.
Stopped watching football when Ronnie Lott left the Niners for the Raiders. Slowly came back.
@@michaelhansen7516 that's a prefect example. Why not let teams sign players with more than, say 7 years on the team, get a certain % waiver for the salary cap?
Money that doesn't go against the cap(like signing bonuses) come straight out the owners pocket....you think the owners would vote yes on that?
@@Tony525_ I think you are wrong about signing bonuses. They are prorated against the life of the contract. If you were right, all salaries would be in the form of a signing bonus. Jerry Jones would run the Cowboys like the Yankees, and just buy whomever he wanted. I'm not an expert, but I think that's the way it works.
@@Tony525_ All expenditures come out of the owner's pocket. Who else writes the checks? The cap is just an accounting limitation. The signing bonus is one of the tricks to manage the cap. It pushes accounting into future years while payment to the player is made up front. So on average, if they come close to the cap, all owners pay the same amount to players every year. Of course, they each have a difference balance sheet. How much debt is on the stadium? The purpose of the cap is keep big market teams with big gate receipts and tv deals from signing the majority of the best players, and it controls costs at the expense of the players. The league is even fair on merch, enforcing a wealth spreading mechanism from big market teams to the small market ones. The owner pays extra in baseball, where mlb has financial penalties for going over the cap. In the nfl, you go over the cap and you can't sign anyone new, like to replace an injured player, so they stay under the cap.
We are in the Cut Zone now
“Tak McKinley, Quinnen Williams, Jermaine Johnson, that kid from Iowa State a couple years ago..” 💀💀
so good to have football back. bring it
My bold prediction for this season. Christian McCaffrey wins the NFL MVP and Kyle Bananahands blows another Super Bowl.
I love the dolphins love but the AFC east is by far the toughest division in the league. You have 3 teams in the same division that are super bowl contenders. Miami gotta figure out how to beat playoff teams away. Miami is one of the best teams at home though, but Im actually worried about the jets, as long as Rodgers is healthy, that team is pretty stacked too
A Spencer R. lead year could be 5-12 wins, or could be, 10-7. They are a wild team this year. There are so many variables, so much so, taht folks are trying to predict the futures market for this race, like they always do, but in a way that is odd at best.
Spare me on the Dotson adding something to the Eagles offense. They are loaded no doubt but the guy hasn't broken 600 yards in his career while having the opportunity to start. Now at best he's the 4th option behind AJ, D.Smith and Goedert. He's depth. Nothing more.
The Packers not in the final 4 is nuts
If the MVP voters rightfully gave Justin Jefferson the award in 2022 instead of Patrick Mahomes when he guided the Vikings to a 13-4 record and the NFC North title, his current contract would be an outlier. The WR market would be fine at just $23 - $28 million a year.
If this is ths niners last SB shot , i truly hope that GB shuts that door for them. How poetic that would be.

DEREK CARR HATE continues..
How does his 2nd half games not count when he has the same record as Mayfield Bucs, a tie breaker away from playoffs, not to mention he wasn't bad in the first half, just average while learning a new team and system
I don’t think Aiyuk is as good as the other four guys but I’ve felt for a couple of years that he was the one guy the Niners couldn’t win without, even though they’ve got Kittle and CMC.
Never forget the Raiders passed on CeeDee to draft Henry Ruggs.
The Dolphins crumble apart if the temperature dips below 40
$900,000 was Brock's salary in year 1, he's making more now, but yeah it's still going to be a huge jump on his next contract but, a lot of their stars are signed for more than one season. They keep finding young talent (Malik Mustapha is another one) and a big contract for their QB won't make Lynch and his team unable to find talent all of a sudden.
The Super Bowl hangover is irrelevant. It doesn't close the window, it's just about the year after that Super Bowl.
Here, I'll put this in a format that suits the show....
What's more likely, that Rich and Chris have so drunk the Chargers Koolaid that they forget they were a last place team, or that they have finally sobered up and realized that they have been riding a pretty flawed team insanely hard?
Since neither of them even mentioned them in the "a last place team will win a playoff game this year" segment.
Glad Rich called out Brockman for his Niners downerism
As long as Josh Allen's quarterback in Buffalo Miami is not a runaway at anything
These contracts are wild, things have gone out of control
If the 49ers cannot get Aiuyk deal done timely...next year will be the window...Purdy will ball out this year. He is gonna be IN DEMAND.
Rockman is talking too much. I love Eisen and I'm here to hear him
Oh for crying out loud, Jamar was already participating in practice the day before this was recorded. And his fifth year option is NEXT year. Notice how all of the big receivers got their contracts in that season, and not their fourth year?
When you paused after mentioning Geno, let me help you out. He’s on the last year of his deal, so looking to get paid next year and is balling out in camp.
He's got 2 years left. Seattle doesn't traditionally negotiate until its 1 year left on the contract. Assuming he looks good in this new offense that should be an easy assumption in 1 years time to happen.

You guys are talking about Aiyuk but not Williams? He is the much bigger deal to sign for the 49ers. Trent Williams is one of the best football players in the NFL and more important to making that offense as good as it is than BA.

RICH it's possible to disagree with it but it not being an overreaction: reasonable people can disagree!!! Rich doesnt understand the premise of this!
Beg to differ you are the one who doesn’t understand the premise
We see what you guys really feel about the Rams. Not even mentioned in the possible final four teams, but you mention the Bears and the Falcons? Please spare me....
Laughing at the Derek Carr/Spencer Rattler take. The Saints will bench an 11 year veteran QB for a 5th round rookie because "He's played a lot of football". Do they even hear what they are saying?
There's a reason they took Rattler in the first place, if the wanted a good backup they would have kept Winston. It's entirely likely they bench Carr if the season is going poorly to see what they have in their young project qb
@@curt367 Especially since they can cut Carr after this season to get cap relief. If him and the team struggles, why not see what Rattler has if they're planning on cutting him then anyways
@Mr5starFootball that's a good point, especially since Carr hasn't really shown out at all and the Saints are in cap hell
Most saints fans are being pretty reasonable about this and only a vocal minority actually want Rattler to start.
But the excitement for Rattler is really buzzing
You never know what can happen look with Dak and the cowboys for a semi recent example

Go Blue, Rich is the best. On a sidenote, Brockman seems to have an issue with the San Francisco 49ers; he can't seem to help himself. He doesn't want the Niners to surpass his beloved Patriots, who now have complete control over the NFL's lower-ranked teams.
*Joe Milton won't let the Patriots have the worst record in the NFL.

Tennessee worst record in the NFL - Indy, Jacksonville, and Houston all on the rise.
180 only caught 150 dropping 25 to 30 % of his balls dropping 1 in 4 is terrible for a pro
The reason why the Dolphins are, in my mind, not likely to win their division or even make the playoffs at all for that matter, is because they tend to struggle against better teams and looking at their schedule you will see a LOT of better teams and often by a wide margin at that.
Do you seriously think they are even winning a majority of their division games against teams like the Jets with that defense and with a lack of defense of their own? The injury issues from last year have, much like with the Bills D, not resolved yet. Miami has virtually no pass rush to speak of and lost their top5 DT in the league to Las Vegas. Sure, Tua got paid and his receivers are still elite but can we really trust them to consistently outscore opposing offenses when those offenses include the Packers, Texans and 49ers to only name a few?
I would not be surprised if their only wins this year are against bottom 10 teams like the Raiders or Titans and maybe a win or two in home games against cold weather teams that aren't used to the heat of Miami.
Picking their wins and losses I had their floor at 4-13 and their ceiling at 8-9. They did *nothing* to seriously address their biggest issues via Free Agency or trades that make me think they are trying to seriously contend for the division other than praying to god that nothing happens to Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle. Their draft was alright but other than that their offseason was a complete flop and I have zero faith that they are even able to repeat what they did last year, a year that notably included throwing the division win to the Bills in a de facto playoff game in week 17 and then having to fly to Arrowhead Stadium to get absolutely embarrassed by the Chiefs in subzero temperatures that they evidently had no gameplan for. What part of that inspires any amount of confidence in their ability to outmatch their competition in the AFC East, much less actually winning the division?
Saints will have a top 5 pick in 2025
