Hey fam! Popping off WEEK 2 of my protective styles series. Loving these Box Braids! I have a total of 69 braids and they aren't heavy at all! Would you rock this style? Let me know below and catch WEEK 3's protective style next week. xo, Asea
You are beaaaaautiful and so is this look. I've only ever done Senegalese twists on my hair because they're quick to install and take down but you may have convinced me to change it up next time.
I feel that 💯! Lol half way through I def was rethinking the size 😂, but I’m also glad that it’s still light and not heavy so it was worth it in the end.
2 packs. One of each color & I took a lot of breaks bc I had my twin girls home at the time. I took my time over the course of 2 days. If I wasn’t recording and had a long block of time it would take me about 6 hours. It depends on your personal braiding speed and availability.
For the hair in the front? Cutting the hair in half would make the hair feather toward the ends. Not cutting in half, for the front sections, ensures that the length of the braid is all the same size. Because the back is shorter, the hair can be cut in half. This is mainly because you'll be cutting off the majority of the length of the braids in the back (which would naturally become thinner as you braided the braid to the end).

This is so cute. Really thought you were gonna leave the rubberbands in but completely understand why. Really helpful tips!!
Thanks for this trick of using the bands to know where to cut, before after braiding my hair some was longer than some because of the cutting. 💜💜

Can I ask what makes the difference from cutting the hair in half?
For the hair in the front? Cutting the hair in half would make the hair feather toward the ends. But idk how to feed the hair 😭
Cest hyper beau mais je trouve que sa manque de volume sinon cest bien fait bravo 😲🥳❤
