For the record , in 5 years I have never seen a boat layout that looked more accommodating and favorable to family living than your current Privilege's saloon and room layout.

What Keith said is important. What value does a new boat add to your life? Your current boat is set up how you like it. You could spend money refitting your current boat that would be more economical. The new boats with the rig so much higher will be a significant loss in performance. Spending more time going from A to B probably isn’t something you want in a new boat.
Agree, don’t fix what’s not broke. I hope he can find a way to put in a bigger kitchen sink, would make doing dishes much easier!!!

Yep. Motel Six contractor grade cabinetry prevails. 'T ain't nautical. Thus disappointed I am, but not surprised. Despite his piratical demeanor, Captain Jack, Keith ain't. He has a lot of engineer in him. He installs, fixes and maintains, underwater lights, watermakers, AC units, GPS's and engines. Nerdy he is. You know, the kinda sailor one need on a plastic boat with electrizicals. Not surprisingly, he is disinclined to acquiesce to the request for manual winches, sweeps and a beautiful varnished wooden decor. Alas, nauticality dispares. Plastic it is. Gee whiz, gosh golly and shucks. What's the point of breedin' minions if ya cain't train 'em ta polish the brightwork! 😁So sayeth Admiral Barbosa.
Glory... LOVE snail mail. It's thoughtful, intentional, takes more effort and something to save. Especially when you use stationary. :)
The kids are soo good for editing out any shenanigans they may or may not have been up to. Renee and Keith are so much fun to watch. Its folks like them, Sailing with the Wynns and Sailing LaVagabond who have made sailing so interesting for me
I think the boat you have is the best boat . If I had the money I would buy one just like yours .

While your current boat suits you guys well, that privilege 580 is absolutely beautiful, and would really accommodate a family of 5 (and guests).

Wow! Did not realize how the new HH Gone with the Wynns boat is a Hobbit Boat. But those are the sacrifices for performance. When they are walking around they look so normal and the boat spacious. How tall is Keith? Glory, go sing in squares, cafes, churches w Finn as your guitarist. In an Italian restaurant (US) My old roommate just did some improv Opera. A very rich couple told the waitress, could you ask her to sing some more and I will pay for their dinner. There were 4 of them eating w wine Sing in any empty church. Share that blessed voice! Glory, you are absolutely correct about receiving and sending "Snail Mail" It is sweet but most of all intentional, I have saved every correspondence, letters, Birthday cards, Fathers Day cards etc. that I have ever received from my children (I am 73). I even have most of the letters my Parents exchanged during WWII. Its all family legacy and priceless. To me anyway.
I will admit. I watch your videos 2,3 times. Am I the only one? I watch on iPhone. Then go home and watch on huge screen with hubby. Then find myself watching again. Addicted. It would be cool to get a new boat. But we are fine with ya all staying in your boat. Fixing. ❤

...but yes Jack, the snail mail letter will be more endearing!!! It takes more time, more effort than a quick email. Obviously, I dont recommend snail mailing everyone, but if you really want to make a special impression...

A few spares fender bladders is never a bad idea. Good thing about the bladders is...if you poke a small hole it it, you can pull it out, put a tire patch on it and shove it back in the cover.

I love handwritten letters. It shows love and caring.
There's something magical about receiving snail mail. Aka postcard or letter. It means the person has taken the time to both think of you and type more than a few words. There is a lot of thought that goes into the process of writing it and sharing wherever they are.. or whatever they are going through. Love it :)

I would go see one for myself. All boats come with compromises... I doubt there are many ~44ft cats that sail as well as the HH44... But a used Outremer 45 probably does. I would check out one of those as well. A used one is probably less money compared ot a new HH. And the Outremer 45 was 'good enough' for Sailing La Vagabonde...
Yeah but those guys ate toe cheese and the girl lived on bean sprouts. It's a fast boat no doubt, but like Keith says, sometimes being comfortable is reallll nice like. @@angela1984a

Another excellent production. Glory, it's even better to receive snail mail that is written in cursive. Handwriting makes it much more personal. Typewritten letters are still impersonal. One Canadian to another 😀
You're showing your age, Robert. They don't even teach kids cursive anymore. At least not in the states.

Gabby is right, there are times when it's easier to roll a card in a typewriter and type something short and sweet which can be done in the time you can turn on your computer, fire up Word or some other word processing program and format it to the size of a 3x5 card. No I'm not a Luddite,, I've owned a home computer since before the term PC was coined, but there are some things that are just better in an analog world. Keep the good stuff coming guys.
Snail mail written in cursive is the best and most personal letter that means much to me that I even save them once I get one.
Shocks me how few that know how to read "Spaghetti" but cursive is fairly simple and very meditative thing to do.
Snail mail is amazing, but prefer hand written 😊.

Adding value to your life. Very subjective idea. A deep dive into pros and cons of different boat layouts and features for future boat owners would be nice. And for the love Keith, put a rectangular sink in for Renee. 9” deep with a tall faucet. It’s a simple upgrade that greatly improves quality of life.

Written letter is more special/caring than a text or e-mail. It shows more thought and feeling. Plus, everyone loves receiving a letter in the mail.
Glory you are in the intro. that's huge. well, Keith if you decide to order a H&H, I'm sure they will make everything wider to fit you. get that worked that into the contract. It's custom and design to sail in light winds.

Same. Like a duvet. LOL. She was all like, it's super easy but didn't demonstrate it that we saw. But even if it's a hassle, it opens up room on their boat when the new ones are deflated. They aren't going into marinas that much. They use the tender.

Go back and revisit Episode 1/ 2 when you Sold everything for your dream of escaping it all which you have successfully done!! don't kiss a** to Privilege for a boat thats not one bit better than what you currently have!!
@@zolitariglussey6302 Ummm, except the new 580 is WAY better than their old boat. Better layout, lots better storage, much brighter and more spacious and will definitely sail better. (Not that Keith cares much about that.) The 580 is actually closer to 62' in length, while the 585 is just shy of 56'.

Snail mail is the best. I write hand written letters to a friend for over 25 years old. We even send printed photos to one another with our letters.
I love old typewriters and think that’s also a better than email.

I see that Renee NEVER got to enjoy family stuff or places, now she has a worker to do stuff for her so she can do all that!! When I was a child back in the early 70S that was my teen years talking on cassette tape and mailing it to whom ever was a really cool and big deal things have moved so much thanks to us old folks whom invented it

Something to take into consideration is your outdoor activities. You have fishing , cleaning, cooking stations. Hanging hammocks, etc.
