Hello Lee ,another brilliant video, I fish one of the hardest to fish gravel pits in the South East, had so many over 20, biggest 26.8 , Saturday , casted in had a take after 30 mins, hit it, just kept going in the direction, she wanted, couldnt move her off the bottom, after 15 mins got her to the surface , omg put her 32 to 35 pounds massive fish, as my fishing partner put the net in to land her , she saw the net, and did a last dash away from the net, had to give line as use 18lbfox line which is ample in a clear water, , shook the hooks, i have now got to fish every weekend to christmas now to try and catch her again in a 100 acre gravel pit, the other half is not going to like it much, Dave
Lee , these taking on the drop happen to me a couple of times a season ,strangely always on the same river fishery and always smaller fish , another great video! Keep them coming ,tight lines 😁
Ive honestly never known anyone so good at catching pike. Not just pike. But big pike at that! I had a fish on the drop on a canal. But i did see if swirl on some bait fish. Dropped a bait on it and jsut as my float settled. It flew under 😅
Lee, great video as usual. Had Pike (not quite as quick as that!) take the bait whilst I have been adjusting the drop off indicator! - literally - put the braid in the clip, began to tighten up to the indicator and WHAM! - snatched the braid right out of my hands!
Ive had it happen to me (pike taking immediately after casting), several times over the years. It happened this weekend in fact, only a little jack but then I did cast a float leger to some fry scattering...
Another cracking video. I'm off to the River Great Ouse tomorrow. For 4 days pike Zander fishing. Ten mile bank section. Hopefully catch first pike of the season.
It looks like you are going to have an awesome season... A bite on the drop, well there's always the first time for everything! Great video brother keep them coming as long as your posting... I'm watching 👍😊
Happened to me once in 30 odd years piking, a smelt on the float, must have landed right in its line of fire. I’ve had lots of pike take shads on the drop. That initial flutter through the water must trigger a reaction. I imagine it’s the same with a dead bait. Keep up the good content 👌
Hello my friend, you really do warm my winters up with these videos. Keep them coming, and after last year when I found your chanel I fully expect nothing less than a 30lbder mate 👍
fished the trent the other day and did not have a touch, watching your videos gimme some ideas, you really have a lot of knowledge, great vid as always
Love watching your videos, i haven't been able to get out for over a week as iam just getting over a back spasm ,but as soon as i am better, then hopefully have a croc or 2.
Same thing happened to me today, within two seconds of me clipping up my rod the drop off clipped out, clipped it up again and felt the fish pull the line in my hand, happened to me a few years ago too
Just had quick 2 hours down on the trent no luck unfortunately down at queens medical at nottz never had a barble only ever caught 1 pike come from good fishing family shameful 😢 lolol patients is a virtue lol

That fish on the drop footage was superb
Happens on my local river at times end of season when it's warmer 👍
Ive had it happen to me (pike taking immediately after casting), several times over the years. It happened this weekend in fact, only a little jack but then I did cast a float leger to some fry scattering...
I had one on the Trent take it on the drop a couple of weeks ago, lost it though. I was only fishing a single hook, but was amazed!
The pike on the river stour in Dorset are the same beautifully marked all year around no matter what the water clarity great vid 🎣🎣

I’ve ha couple on the drop over the years. One on live bait one on a sink and draw smelt. Both immediately as it hit the water
Same thing happened to me today, within two seconds of me clipping up my rod the drop off clipped out, clipped it up again and felt the fish pull the line in my hand, happened to me a few years ago too
I had a jack on the drop other week when out lure fishing soon as it hit the water it jumped up thought I was seeing things lol..
when was this filmed?.cracking fish and dangling man. well in and tight lines
I’ve had a few pike on the drop ,not big ones though.
Ive had a few pike take it on the drop but mainly because they tried robbing my fish on the pole or feeder so i knew they was there
Can you link where you buy your baits. Absolutely love your vids... no unnecessary bull chat

Your “little” pike would be welcome when I go fishing 🤣👍 with the mild weather have you noticed much of difference with the pike behaviour?
Definitely!! They are much more active especially on the river.
Another great video👌 Have you ever targeted the zander?
Cheers Kevin , targeting zander can be hit and miss most of the time you end up catching pike lol
@@obsessionwithangling tell me about it! 😂 But on the flip side its the best of both worlds 😉👍
I had a few on the drop but on lakes but there again ive pike fished a bit longer than you, (54 years) Lol
I have had pike take lures as soon as they hit the water but not with a dead bait😂
Yet again another great vid mate. I'm in awe to not only the fish you catch but the great vids you keep putting up. Keep up the good work cool
Thanks Steve
