Always love your videos Nerissa even though my babies are long grown up.
Speaking of the sensory tasks and training you were talking about. My career was Administrative Secretary at our local elementary and middle schools. One of the best things about my job is making friends with all the teachers and other school staff. 6 of the kindergarten teachers and I became really fast good friends. They not only some of my kids teachers but helped to offer suggestions with things that my kids might be having a hard time with or easy ways to help them learn things. Boys are notorious for very poore hand and I coordination when they start school. This means anything to do with fine motor skills like their writing their letters, writing their name on a line, writing numbers in a small area so they're not writing letters that are 5" tall. Anyway a lot of boys have trouble in this area.
Multiple kindergarten teachers told me to buy a package of plastic ants, yes the bug variety and a pair of plastic tweezers. Have them play pick up with them. Great way to build that strength. I've seen it work for dozens of kids.
